Anyone plan on making a trip to the Tulsa Wanenmacher's Arms Show this weekend?

I went in the fall and I want to go back, i have a feeling im more prepared this time and i might get to see a little bit more. Last time I went with my parents and my brother and I really diddnt get to see much since I spent 3/4 of my time trying to find them (cell phone towers were jammed). But overall I enjoyed it and feel like making another trip to it this weekend! :D

It's a two hour drive for me. If the weather is bad, yes. If the weather is good I need to mow. A friend wants to buy a 22 (1st gun), I want AMMO.

If its anything like the last one there will be dealers with ammo by the cases.

Heck even last time i went there were people will 2 wheelers taking it out.

I'm thinking about it. I'm in NW AR, so it's not a long drive. I get the feeling that there will be a massive crowd, though. To top it all off I've spent all my milk money for the week and need to save my pennies for upcoming purchases and expenses (new gun, computer, roadtrip, etc). I guess there will be the October show in another six months.

2RCo will be there and hopefully busy moving some Grips and parts. Most likely buying a toy or two as well.

you are right about the crowd , but the place is 11 acres so there is plenty of room to spread people out. Ive been to a few shows in NW Arkasas that have been more crowded considering the space the place was in, but never one with as many people that will be in the Tulsa one.

I'm still looking to liquidate a bunch of rough stock blanks for the do-it-yourselfers out there.

So your going to have a table Elm? If so , where is it going to be?

I live in St. Louis, MO and about 6 of us are drivin down for the weekend. Cant wait, heard its awesome.

Once you go to a Wananmacher show, you won't bother to go to the rest. Tulsa has a few other shows during the year. They are not even close. Wananmacher puts on a Tulsa show every April and October. I have bought several guns during this show.

Did anyone go today? How were prices? Were reloading components available? How were prices? How was the crowd? Did I mention I'd like to know if prices were still astronomical?

I went both days. I bought TiteGroup for $17.50/pound and large pistol primers for $37.00/1000 only because I didn't have any. Lots of brass and bullets available. Didn't see any presses for sale except for a couple of old ones.

Ammo was available of course, but much of it was priced higher than I wanted to pay, although there were a lot of people happy to pay it. Guys were wheeling it out left and right.

Didn't seem to be alot of the higher dollar guns moving, but I did see quite a few pistol sales being made.

Of course, the crowds were huge.

Pistol ammo was insane...... I seen some .380 auto in a 100 rd box for $96 at one table (he was high on everything). But overall it was pretty good , there was a ton of reloading supplies but i dont reload so i couldnt tell you about the prices. All i ended up getting was a few bricks of .22 and a few spam cans of 54R for $90 (since they are 179 locally for the same thing).

I prob seen about 500 AR's (including uppers) the 4 hours I was there. I diddnt see anyone buying any , but there was 1 booth that was moving alot of uppers. I also noticed alot of people bringing in their ARs to sell.

Apparently, it was insanity on prices for the most part, according to many I talked to who went. $50 boxes of .380 acp, etc.

I was set up next to one of Cheaper Than Dirt's reps and they were charging $50 for a box of S&B .380.

The CTD rep told me that they sold 1000 boxes at $69 a box on the web last week. I told them they were price gougers and although I could understand the profit motive that on places like THR many people are extremely aggravated at them.
They didn't really seem to care as they patted there (fatter than mine) wallets.
