I have not been to these shows, and wondered if there has been a difference in participation or vendor presence between the April and November shows.

I am thinking about going to the November show this year.

Thx!

I assume you're talking about the Wannamacher? When mentioning "Tulsa Gun Shows" you have to be more specific.

We've got a ton of different shows here, and they don't all like each other. For example:

http://www.okshooters.com/showthrea...-Metcalf.-SuperDaves-Gunshow-making-an-impact

(Both of those guys have gun shows.)

But if you're talking about Wannamacher, yes, they're all the same. Overpriced guns. Same vendors w/overpriced guns. Same crowded isles. Same groups of customers w/bad breath and body odor who like to clog an isle talking to people they haven't seen for a whole twelve minutes.

I know there is a big Ruger display in November. I think that is when the S&W displays are there also. I went in April last year. There is a lot to see and I was impressed with the show. Wear comfortable shoes and plan on walking in gun heaven for two days.

Hey Nando...The Wannamacher shows are huge and like Maddog says, wear comfy shoes and plan to walk for miles. I personally love the show(s) and have been there many times. No 2 shows are alike. There are always a few exceptional pieces and I never take enough money, but since I don't have a lot that's not saying much. I go with group of guys; we split up and meet for lunch, then split again and quit about 5:00 the first day. We do the same the next day and quit about 2:00-3:00 and drive back to the KC area. Takes me another day for my legs to recover. We always go to one of Tulsa's good eateries and we always have a good time. Being immersed in gun culture for 2 days always leaves me feeling great.

I'm with Sniper, I love to go. I had to look, but I have always found good deals. The last show bought a Browning HP for $450 off a dealer and sold it to another dealer 2 isles over for $650.

go if yu can to the big ones.they unwisely placed the fall show during MO deer gun season so i dont go to it anymore.if you are looking for bargains, go on sunday and stay till the last dog is hung.a couple years ago i got a nice ciener conversion for my 45 acp for 90$.it works well.have purchased several nice shotguns about closing time on sunday for cheap.ive sold several guns i had no use for, for good profits just walking around.i really like the show.even if yu dont buy or sell its sumpin to see and cheap entertainment.

Spring or fall, if you haven't been it doesn't matter. I go at least once every year and always find some quality firearms at decent prices. There is something there for everybody, you'll enjoy it. There are terribly crowded aisles and droves of humanity, so you might get a little frustrated if you let it get to you.

"I assume you're talking about the Wannamacher?"

Oops! Yes, that is correct; I did not realize that there were more than one show held in those months.

Thanks for the replies! I'll go in November, as planned, and will likely return in 2013!
