I have a Federal Arms FA 91 (I know, from what I hear, there's two strikes already ;) ). I have had it for about two years, and today was the second time I ever fired it. The first time showed no problems- actually shot fairly decent. I set my targets at 25M and fired five rounds. When I went to inspect the target, I saw one ragged hole and one flier when I approached, and was initially rather impressed since i shot while squatting. On further inspection, i noticed that the holes weren't round but showed the complete outline of the bullet as it passed through sideways! Every bullet was at some stage of yaw when it hit the target, a couple looked nearly 90 degrees. The ammo is just some surplus .308, but I have shot it through my Savage 110 with more than satisfactory results, so I don't think is is the ammo. Anyone have any thoughts other than a dangerous/ junk rifle? I've been kicking around selling it and getting a FAL kit, but I don't want to pawn off a dangerous gun. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Check crown for dings, slug barrel for diameter, have smith look at it, call gunmaker (maybe first). Ya got a problem, guy.

Good luck.
