On my regular Saturday drop-in at the old gun shop, they showed me two items (new) they had just gotten in: a six inch GP100 with half-lug and a three inch, full lug GP100 with adjustable sights. Both are stainless steel. Don't exactly know the story but they had ordered 3 of the half-lug GPs but opening the boxes, only one had a half-lug and two were full-lugged. I snapped up the half-lug which seemed to be well put together. The three inch is very intriguing since I have never seen or heard of an adjustable factory three inch but the six inch is enough of a budget buster. I already have a six inch half-lug and now I can get a double holster rig (kidding).

I believe they dropped the 6 inch half lug model which is too bad because its a great feild gun. I wish Ruger would stop dropping all the unpopular guns as their often my favorites!

They did, Timothy. I found there were some blued ones available for a good price shortly after that but by the time I tried to order one, they were gone. I consider myself very lucky to have come across this one. I don't know what distributor they came from, or if they just found they had some in inventory or Ruger just found some half-lug barrels that they put on GP frames. I also don't know how many more are available, if any. The adjustable 3 inch gun is a puzzler. I vaguely remember some threads about the existence of these once before.

GaryA,

Will the dealer do a long-distance sale on the 3"?

If so, I'd be interested... and you could PM or email me their contact info.

LOL, I hear ya. I wish they made a .357 Blackhawk or Vaquero with a 7.5 inch barrel.
