No man, in all seriousness, i have gone hunting in the swampy waters of Florida before and i can say, if your airboat flips over no matter what you have AK/AR mood in the gun is the last of your worries, Guns, Clothes, cell phone, glasses, holster, pistol, backpack, GPS… and yourself …everything on top of a 3 foot deep mood while surrounded by alligator and grass… fun fun fun it’s all i can say, but yeah i will take any rifle AR/AK from my collection to go, both platforms perform very well in those conditions as long as you know what it takes to get them running.

Most gun owners know that with the AK’s safety Down, it seems quite good at keeping dirt out of the receiver.

In a video with Jerry Miculek, the world-class shooter—-
He watched a couple of HK-91s (German Semi-auto version) get left overnight in a windy desert with the bolt carriers locked Open.

He heard the dust/sand grinding inside the guns next day, but Jerry stated that the rifles never malfunctioned.

I suppose that is interesting, perhaps important to some; but I don't use anything other than bolt action rifles for anything at all and I assiduously avoid mud. Not my thing.
