U marking on upper receiver meaning

I've scoured the internet for hours trying to figure out what manufacturer marks their upper receivers with a U anyone know?

If I had to guess it is a forge marking.
The aluminum forging company. Maybe Unifor.

Thanks for the info. I tried looking up Unifor but I only found Unior, which might be the company you're talking about, and some other forge called BRAWO. I couldn't find any information on whether or not either forge makes uppers. If it is Unifor do you know if they're pretty good quality?

I have not seen the "U" marking on any upper. I was only guessing it was Unifor. According to Brawo's websight they acquired unifor in 2015. Where did you get the upper?

I'm pretty sure it was Brownells but I don't know exactly.
