There was a fellow in Brownsville busted a year or so ago for illegally dealing in firearms. Seems he was buying lots of guns and selling them at a hefty profit to anybody with cash.
I read in the local newsrag last week that the local radio and teevee stations will soon begin broadcasting ads to educate people about the illegality of straw purchases. Seems it's been deemed a real problem here on the border.
Leadcounsel's right, of course. You know the drill: When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
