:banghead:I have an Uberti Cattleman 1873 Single Action Cowboy replica in .45LC. I noticed that after shooting a while that the screws, primarily the three over the trigger become loose and need to be tightend. What could i use to keep them from coming out do to shooting vibrations? I dont want to permanently glue them in, but keep them in tight until I need to remove them for cleaning or maintenance. Appreciate any recommendation.

Blue Locktite. Be sure that you don't get it on the shank of the screw, only the threads. There are part that ride on the shank of each of those screws, the hammer, the trigger and the locking bolt. I would recommend you back each one out several turns, apply the Loctite from the right side directly onto the threads in the frame, then tighten the screws back up.

Shellac is common in my shop so I use it a lot. It works as good as any thread locker I have purchased. Nail polish is also common and works well. With nail polish, you even get to choose your color!

The Colt and it's clone all have the same problems with screws working loose. Just remember to degrease the threads in the hole and on the screw before applying the sealant.
