I had a long chat, and then an even longer phone call with the people at Pyramydair. This led to an even longer talk with Paul Speer at UmarexUSA. He's an enthusiastic shooter, both regular guns, and also these air guns. Making a long story much shorter, I now have the following on order:

I also wrote to Umarex in German ('
[email protected]'), about the set of adjustable sights that they supposedly sell.
I think they exist, after reading this in a product review for the gun:
"After adding the Beavertail Grip Safety and Fully Adjustable Rear Sight Set (both from Umarex), it really changed my enjoyment in shooting the Pistol"
Pyramydair recommended the version that you bought, with the slide that functions as it would on a "real" 1911, for people who want to use it to get used to a 1911, but both Pyramydair and UmarexUSA told me that the version I ordered would be considerably more accurate.
It should be here next Wednesday or so.
