I got new bullets in yesterday from Missouri Bullet Co.
They are 170 gr hard cast .322. I measured them with both digital caliper and0-1 micrometer. They measured just over .321 on both.
I loaded up 4 cartridges with 13 gr. 4227 powder and this is my result I feel a lot of my problem was wear in the bore and not getting a good reading whenI slugged the barrel. If you saw earlier posts, all 4 shots with 165 gr, .321 lead cast were hittlin target sideways and I could only change it by reducing powder charge drastically.
I'm starting to get happier with this rifle.:)
Thanks again to all who helped walk me thru this issue.

13 gr. of IMR4227 is the start load for a 170 grain jacketed bullet. Not a cast bullet. Where's your data coming from? Isn't dangerous though.
My old Lyman book has data for a 164 grain with gas check cast bullet. That'd be close enough. IMR4227 12.0(1195 fps) to 15.4(1488 fps).

Sunray, actually I got the load data from Lee reloading that came with the die set. Also got some information/suggestions off this forum. I did load 5 with 11.4 gr 4227 which also came in the paperwork with the Lee die set. I am pretty happy with the progress I'm making.
I am going to pull the 165gr lead bullets (dia too small)from the 40 rounds that I ordered from Gad's reloading, dump the powder as I am not sure what is. That will give me 40 more pieces of already primed cases to load with the 4227 or Trail Boss. I am really pleased with the bullets I got from Missouri Bullets.
My next step will be to try to resize 32 special brass into 32-40 cases. Resizing 30-30 brass is pretty tough and not having a carbide die does not help. Thanks for the advice,
