Guys,

After casting for about 35 years using the Lee Drip-O-Matic, I bought a new Lyman Mag 25 digital furnace that Midway had on clearance for $192. So, with the Lee I got used to the crude temperature settings, I now can set the Lyman to a specific temperature setting. So, my question is, what temperature are you setting your digital temperature to? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I try to maintain about 725 with my Lee pot. Sometimes it is a bit challenging...but it gets the job done, bullets look good, shoot great.

I have been using my Lee pot for many years...and I guess that I am fortunate...it has never leaked a single drop, although I have seen many reports from folks that say they have this problem.

I have thought about getting a premium pot, on occasion...but I just cannot justify paying the price that RCBS and Lyman want for something as low tech as a lead melting pot. I only cast about 5000 bullets a year...so, I guess I will just continue with the Lee...and honestly, if mine quit tomorrow, I would probably just get another as I have been pleased with the performance and durability.
