You can see how there is no ledge, its rounded off. This also comes with a lighter spring. Between this and the Apex sear the trigger pull is now awesome for a plastic pistol.

The Apex sear is the best bang for the buck if you are looking to improve your M&P trigger.

I like the looks of those sights. Where did you get them from? Was the rear sight as hard to get out as some say it is?

Lots say the Apex makes a big difference. How did it change the trigger?

Just came back from the range. Factory trigger is OK. It does improve with use. I have probably close to 1500 rounds through my Shield. Its good with the Apex sear. With the Apex sear plus ultimate striker block...it is REALLY good. Trigger is much smoother and crisp. It breaks around 4 lbs now. Reset is better too. Apex website and packages are a bit confusing. You can add different parts in different combinations. I dont have their replacement trigger. It is said to improve uptake and over travel by 20%.

Id have to look up where I bought the sights from. These are their carry sights. Competition sights are similar but without the corners notched.

Rear sight wasn't a bear. Have a sight pusher.

Picture shows the Warren Tactical competition sights.

We apexed a CORE this past weekend.

I've been pretty happy with my shield and the little bit of polishing I did to the trigger bar and striker face. Now that I see how easy it is to install I'll be ordering the hard sear for my Shield in a few weeks.

Just doing the sear avoids having to remove the rear sight which makes the job easier.

David Bowie....

Ohio gunsmith & sworn LE officer(SWAT unit commander) David Bowie, www.BowieTacticalConcepts.com is highly rated for Smith & Wesson M&Ps. :)
He sells/installs M&P sights too.
I like the Trijicon HD line for M&Ps(including the compact Shields).
Many say green sights are best but I like the green/orange sight picture.
The M&P Apex trigger work is smart too but a factory M&P can defend you. I'll admit that some factory new S&W pistols have less than terrific triggers but many are still more than capable for the casual shooter/gun owner or armed citizen.

I tried the green front fiber optic. Although I liked it around the house...in the bright sunlight on the range, it totally washed out being so bright and light and I couldnt pick it up quickly at all. Switched back to red and and soon as I see that sight picture flash I hit it.

I've added the AmeriGlo Night Sights - SW-443 Hackathorn.

Apex Ultimate Striker Block & Fully Machined Sear.
