I recently bought a Vz 24 chambered in 8mm mauser from another high roader and I had some questions.
The rifle is stamped 1938 on the top of the chamber, that IS the year it was produced, correct? The bolt, unfortunately, is not matching, but oh well. She is in pretty good condition, with the usual dings to the stock. The chamber and bolt are both in great shape. Is there a site where I can check my serial numbers to get a place of manufacture and history?
The ammo is Yugoslavian I believe. Not sure. Its stamped (in clockwise fashion) 7.9/FS/1940/T (cressent moon and star) C. Am I right to assume this is 1940's manufacture and produced in a Muslim country? The bullet is steel and its brass cased with black sealant on the primer. Any more info on it?
I appreciate any and all info. Thank you.
