Wal-Mart Ammo Price

Walmart is the best when it comes to ammo. I've bought in-line and at the range. Walmart by far is the best. I think Dick's beat them as far as the price goes, only because they have factory reloads.

How is Walmart better than online?

Wal * Mart:

Remington 9mm 115 gr. JHP 100 rounds = $23.24, plus $1.39 tax = $24.63

Natchez:

Subtotal Items: $32.96
Shipping: $12.47
Insurance: $ 0.60
Order Total: $46.03

Midway (2 boxes of 50):

In-Stock Total: $26.98
Backorder Total:* $0.00
Shipping Estimate: $10.27
Special Handling Charge:† $0.00
Sales Tax:†† Please sign in

Total: $37.25

Cheaper Than Dirt:

9mm UMC Handgun Cartridge, 115-Grain Metal Case Bullet, 1135 fps, Value Pack 100

$22.90, plus shipping of $11.02, = $33.92

Just did the math as well....

I too just did the math... Wal-Mart is better than online for me when it comes to 45acp. I buy in the 500 quantity range and Wal-Mart beats my online shopping price by a total of $3 for the 500 rds. The plus side: Don't have to wait for it to be shipped to your door. :)

For comparison, I stopped at a Dick's this afternoon and they had Remington FMJ 9mm for $9.98 on sale, down from a regular price of $12.98.

That's a sale? $19.96 for two boxes of fifty? And $25.96 regularly?

I hate it, but W*M is still the winner.

you shouldn't be buying ammo from walmart to begin with. they are anti-gun.

Not around here they’re not. Both of our Wal*Marts still sell firearms in the sporting goods section. They also sell ammo, scopes, cleaning kits, cases, targets, and a host of other shooting paraphernalia. They also don’t have any sings banning the carry of firearms on their property.

Don’t get me wrong. I HATE going to Wal*Mart so much I would rather have a root canal than go shopping there. I do however force myself to go for the “cheap” ammo prices.

Ours carried long arms until a few months ago. I was shocked when they quit. They have no big store competion. Plus they are in the middle of RED NECK COUNTRY. For the moment, the walmart in the city(30 miles south) still has guns, but they are going to stop once they sell off there current stock.

what is with the Wal-Mart bashing.

It is a store... If they have a location that does not make any money on their guns and supplies, and they could use that retail space for something more profitable, so be it. That is what the market requires. I find it hilarious that the same people who say the would never shop in a Wal-Mart then complain that certain stores stop selling firearms....

WHA WHA WHA?

You don't shop there, yet, you think it is a cabal of evil anti-gunners looking to take away your rights.....

The Wal-Marts here still sell guns. Perhaps we like a decent deal on ammo and are willing to buy from them. I buy ammo from them and while I am not happy with the price increase, I love the Federal bulk packs. Gonna go pick up a few today.
