Wal-Mart Clearances...

I stopped in during lunch (Wally's in Austin near 620). Nothing doing as far as good prices. The Ultimag was about $299, and the guy working the counter said he thought the price had gone up not down. Oh well, I didn't "need" a new shotgun anyway.
 
Stopped by the Wal-Mart in Hastings Minnesota today. I picked up 2 of the Winchester 1300 DLX Field 20 ga. shotguns @ $150.00 each.

What a deal. These were brand new in un-opened boxes with all the chokes, paperwork etc. Happy, happy happy.

Really awesome. Walmart coming through with what they're known for -- value pricing!
 
Not in my area...

Stopped by two Wally Worlds (in MD) and they did not have any clearences going on. I asked the guy behind the counter and he did not know of any clearence sale.

Oh well, I'll keep looking,

I went to my local Walmart, and they didn't have ANY guns, in fact the display cases were full of junk...so I went to one in the next town...same thing...been like that for over a year now. Wonder whats up with the Walmarts in California?

Looked at my closest Wally World. Plenty of red-tag sale items, but nothing that was "clearance," jumping-off-the-rack priced. 12 gauges (Remington, Mossberg) were $200 or more.

no longer sell guns. for a few years, now. they got busted for not complying with the waiting period & other "only in Kali" laws. they also paid a hefty fine. Yet another reason I moved back to Texas from the bay area. :cuss:
 
there's some stuff on clearance at the fair lakes store, but nothing i wanted. various remingtons, a mossberg 835 or two, and some 20ga camo'd up 500's. meh.
 
jpalmer, welcome and glad you found some good deals.

It was a THR or TFL thread (can't remember) that led me to buy my Remington 1100 a few years back. Same thing... Wal-Mart clearing them out at great prices.
 
Today:

All muzzleloaders on sale

Two of them were marked down TO $40!!!!!!

I don't know anything about ML's, but I did notice it was a Knight 50 cal.

For $40 NEW.

Wal Mart in Glen Burnie, MD

They were marking down about a dozen other ml's while I was there.....
 
Stopped by a WalMart in San Antonio and they had Win 1300 20ga youth models for $150, 20ga Mossy 500's for $189, and a couple of Weatherby Vanguards for $299. When I asked about the sales prices the guy replied that they lowered the prices on these 4, but raised them on 12 others.
 
Wal-Mart in Manchester, NH (the one that just got hit by a plane)

Rem 870 12ga Super Mag, $175. Box, all papers and all. Not bad!


What's even funnier is that after I saw the red tag, did a doubletake, looked at it again and had it in my hands, some "expert" shopper wandered up to try to tell me that a made-in-China H&R copy in the next case was the best gun.

Good price on the SuperMag. I bought one for under $200, but only because it was on sale and because I got an additional 20% off by signing up for a Bass Pro credit card.

Mossberg Maverick ("Made in USA!") for something bettween $150 and $200, and a Winchester 1300 20 gauge pump, I think it was a youth size, for $150. Neither of these were labeled as clearance. Most interested in the Maverick, wonder if I can get away with putting it on plastic.. . ..
