I am looking at purchasing a Walther PPQ M2 .22. Anyone have experience with it? Reviews seem good.

I have a Ruger SR22, but the wife has since claimed it. I really like it, and considered just getting another one, but wanted something full size and different to try.

I want us both to have a .22 for plinking and the range.

I don't have the PPQ but just bought two P22 QD and like them a lot. Don't know the comparison off hand but would recommend the P22 QD. I paid w/tax $309. for mine and traded even for the wife's with a PPK/S .22. Hope tjis helps in some way.

I did consider a P22, but had a buddy that had nothing but trouble with his, although I know it has been improved. I'm looking at the PPQ for the full size. If I want another more compact, I think I'd just get another SR22.

I have the Walther PPQ .22, and it has been a great .22 for me, I bought the threaded barrel as I have a Gemtech .22 can and it functions great both supressed and unsuppressed.

I looked into the Walther P22 but quickly dismissed it as it is produced alongside all the Umerax firearms. Whereas the Walther PPQ .22 is produced in the Ulm, Germany plant alongside all the Walther PPQ line, and the differences between the two are worth the extra money in my opinion.

Like you said above, if you want the compact size skip the P22 and go towards the Ruger SR22.

Here's a good article that details the differences one sees with the PPQ (alloy rather than zinc slide, steel slide notch pin, steel breech block, etc.)

I have a Walther PPQ 22 #5100300 and it has become my favorite .22LR semi-automatic pistol. Feeding it good quality high velocity ammo has it running extremely well.

It is one of the nicest "full size" .22LR pistols I have found - perfect for introducing a 'new shooter' to the joys of plinking.

I've heard storied about the P22. The very first Walther, I ever shot, and it worked well for me through 60 rounds or so.

However, I bought a used PPQ .22 last year and shoot it every week.

They do get dirty fast and need wiped out , but most budget .22 ammo is junk unless
you go ELY.

Feels like my bigger PPQ 9mm and .45, but the trigger isn't a PPQ trigger by 100%
or it would be even better.

I plan to buy a 5 inch ..22 but am really hoping to see an Optics Ready ( Q4 Tac, Q5 Match)
.22 in 2019.

For I counted up the cost..

That would be sweet and it would reside in my gun safe at some point!

Congrats on the new PPQ 22. I have read a lot of great reports on it and I bet you really like it. I would buy one myself if I did not already have M&P 22 Compact and still might some day since I also have 9MM PPQ that I adore.

I have only fed all of my .22’s CCI mini mags. I also got a few boxes of the CCI Tactical which are very similar to mini mags, but haven’t shot those yet.
