The Walther PPS is the largest pistol that I can put into a pocket and still actually draw well. For me it's completely doable. I am generally wearing cargo pants, Carhartt and jeans though and I'm kind of a big guy. Maybe the pockets on these are a bit larger than the pants pockets of some of those commenting saying that it can't fit.
I could also do it with the Glock 42 and 43 just as well. Couldn't do it with a Glock 26 though, too thick since it's a double stack. That's basically the dividing line for me. I can get my G26 into the pocket, but can't draw it freely. I end up having to wriggle the G26 out, not good.
I made this video of my first practice session with the Walther PPS (in this case it's with the Classic) when I first started pocket carrying last year (Jan and Feb 2015).

I'm using a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. It has a wing on the back edge to prevent it from staying on with the pistol off during the draw and the edge of your pants pocket hooks on the back side of the holster. Sometimes the holster stays inside the pocket, but oftentimes like in the video it flops out and hits the ground. I've always carried it with the 7 rd mag in and with two spare mags. At first it was the 8 rd and the 6 rd mag as spared, but I later added a couple more 8 rd mags to the the mag pile and then I carried two spare 8 rd mags and the 7 rd mag in. Also added Talon stick-on rubber wrap around grips.
Before last year I've always just gutted it out and stuck with full sized pistols (like the Browning High Power) or Compacts (like the CZ-75 Compact or the Glock 19/23) since the late 90's.
Because my son has therapy appointments (he's been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and ADHD although they're waffling on the autism diagnosis) I started pocket carrying instead of carrying a larger pistol using an IWB holster. None of the places he goes to has a 30.06 sign, but in all likelihood they would have an issue with any of the parents carrying. Last years attack in San Bernardino, California at such an office shows that horrible things can still happen and so I carry everywhere I'm not legally barred from carrying.
Long term CHL holders know that even while being extremely careful to bend at the knees instead of the waist when picking your child up or getting something they've dropped and to always insure that your shirt stays put that if enough time has passed your shirt will come up at some point during the worst time possible exposing the gun to the most rabid of gun haters who are still good at their job with children. So pocket carry it is even though it's a half second slower than drawing from the waist and even slower if you start from a seated position or while walking or running. Still better than not being armed at all. Like most things it's a trade off.
I liked everything about the Walther PPS Classic except the trigger guard mounted mag release, totally bugged me. So I bought a PPS M2, what a disaster. Didn't like the PPS M2 and sold it after a factory repair.
It was ejecting the mag when firing it both as a mechanical defect and I was accidentally hitting it. I shoot thumbs forward and in addition to the weak spring on the mag release I was occasionally hitting it as well. I paid attention to my thumbs placement and it still ejected the mag in recoil. Fired one handed being extremely careful to have my thumb nowhere near the mag release and it still ejected the mag about half an inch. It wouldn't come flying out of the gun and it the ground, it would just pop out about half an inch. Had a friend fire it (he shoots thumbs high) while paying attention to avoid hitting the mag release and it still did it.
Contacted Walther and they sent me a label and they confirmed that it was in fact ejecting the mag on its own and it wasn't just me and they repaired it and sent it back. Tried it out several times and while it wouldn't eject the mag on its own I was still accidentally hitting it because of my grip and so I sold it to a friend with full disclosure and went back to the PPS Classic.
So I'm not sure if ejecting the mag on its own is a widespread thing for the new Walther PPS M2, but mine did it.
So for me the Classic is a better fit.
