Want a bolt gun, talk me into or out of 7.62x39

Just some FYI, my CZ carbine had a few issues you may want to know about.

The firing pin spring isn't strong enough to pop Wolf primers reliably. CZ sent me a new spring but I'd say one in about 20 rounds still won't fire the first time.

Also it had a feeding problem. The last couple of rounds would somehow get tilted skyward in the mag. They said to send in the mags, and they gave me two new ones that did the same thing. After a few months of frustration I took a close look at the mag itself and discovered the case rim was getting hung up on these poorly machined cuts in the back of the mag. I filed them down inside, now it feeds like a champ.

The action takes time to wear in. There's a sharp corner where the handle has to fit into the action when locked down, and eventually it will round out for smoother cycling.

Then there's the aforementioned bolt handle/scope bell issue.

It's pretty much the same as all the other various CZ guns I've had. Rough from the factory, takes time to wear in.

But other than that, it gets taken to the range more than my Saiga conversion, if that says anything. Fun little rifle.

IIRC my 7.62cz mags wouldn't even hold onto .223
They won't, tried it. One of the people I shoot with has a CZ527 and for the fun of it we thought we would try it, didn't work.

Perhaps, but 99% of it is BERDAN PRIMED

There sure is a lot of boxer primed around here. I pick it up all the time. It's funny, the more you collect once fired the faster you get tossing the bad stuff. ;)

So... I bought a 223 American to start playing with. I'm going to immediately replace the stock. If all goes well, I'll guy a x39 and play with that.

Anyone with a carbine version interested in an American stock? (larger lop and sits a little higher for optics as I understand it)

Brand new, $100 shipped.
