This is an interesting news item, I could post some of the comments at the paper about it but I'll just say...

Some of the comments were made that the man feared the Government so he stockpiled the weapons, others disagree:uhoh:

Is this an accepted way when you are on probation and have criminal convictions? Is this a form of activism and if so is it wrong:scrutiny:

Of course the reporting is not accurate regarding the automatic weapons, they are semi automatic for sure. If that is incorrect does it really matter. The bottom line is...If you are a criminal of any kind, and there is a probation period you better not violate it:what:

A Galt man has been arrested and 31 weapons seized during a routine check on whether he was complying with the terms of his probation, authorities said.

Michael James Sutton, 56, was booked into Sacramento County Jail after being arrested on weapons and drug charges Wednesday. Among the weapons found were an automatic pistol and assault weapons, according to the Sacramento County Probation Department.

Probation officials allege that the home in the 14000 block of Christenson Road in Galt where the weapons were found was frequented by drug users. In addition to the weapons, a small amount of methamphetamine and weighing scales were found.

An "automatic pistol"? ***? He had a Beretta 93R? A Stetchkin? G18? How he had money for a several thousand dollar weapon...when he was too busy smoking meth, is beyond me.

To many non-gun people, semi-auto means auto. They don't know the real difference.

Too bad.

Hey there:
Sounds like he was still rather involved with the criminal activity. I know the news never gets it right . But if he had drugs in the house he should get slammed.
Wack him for the guns too and get him off the street.

+1, Wildfire. This is a bad guy. Good thing they got him before one of us had to or before he got one of them or us.
