I bought one of the Weaver/Nitrex scopes from Natchez with the mail in rebate. Promptly sent it in with all the correct paperwork (triple checked everything). It's been several weeks and I haven't seen anything yet.

Anybody got theirs yet?

Yeah, I got the rebate. Took a while.

TR One is a hellova good scope, IMO.

Optically very good.
Mechanically very good

The only thing I can say bad about them is that they're not the slickest package. A little bit large and heavy. The pull up turrets are handy, but on a hunting gun might be a little obtrusive.

Supposing I actually receive my rebate, they're a darn good deal.

The TR Ones aren't that heavy. They don't have the pop-up turrets.
I think they're probably as good as any $300 scope around. For $100.

I got the TR1 1.5-5 and I'm very impressed. Very clear optics. I don't have it mounted on a gun yet, that will probably be another month or two. It's going on a 12" 6.8 SPC...my new deer rifle.

My son who lives in Denver bought a TR2 about 6 to 8 weeks ago just got his rebate yesterday. He bought the highest power model to go on a paper punching rifle and he absolutely is thrilled with everything about the scope. Yes he says it is a bit bulky for a hunting scope, but he bought is specifically for target shooting. He said he could hunt with it, but again it is way overboard in the magnification range for most North American hunting applications except pd hunting and his rifle is a 25-06.

rebate still good?

I'd like one of the Nitrex 1.5-5 scopes but the rebate form says it ended on
12-31-2010 so how do we know if they will still honor it?

length of Nitrex 1.5-5 ?

Whoa, second post already! Hey, it's late and my mind is slow. In my first post asking if the rebate is still in effect, I forgot to ask any owner's of the 1.5-5 what the length of the scope is. The Nitrex webpage doesn't show spec's for length or weight.

It should be a good scope for a muzzle loader, though ring placement/adjustment might be problem, like on any scope of that size.

Has anyone used it on a crossbow? The cheap BSA red dot on my Excal Vixen isn't doing so well.

Still no rebate. Been 8-9 weeks. Starting to get worried. No more mail in rebates for me. Might be the end of Weaver scopes for me too. Oh well.

Called ATK/Nitrex. They acknowledged receiving my rebate, said everything looked good, should hit the mail in 7-10 days.

Customer Service was impressive especially compared to the usual these days. They answered the phone within a few rings, and then immediately understood and answered my question about the rebate (probably have received a few calls about this already).

Assuming they mail it out in 7-10 days, that's nearly 10 weeks for those that are also wondering where the hell their check is.

Nitrex Rebate

I haven't received my rebate either. Tomorrow will be 8-weeks since Nitrex received it (delivery confirmation date).

Ordered the 3-15 Silver TR-Two, nice and clear, however, one negative. Although it is a 50mm Scope, the field of view at 100 yeards is not any greater than my 40mm Nikon Buckmasters 4.5 x 14 or 6.0 x 18 when set to the same power and best parallax settings. Images are slightly sharper on the Nikons. The Nitrex is still a good buy, however.

amanb - A 50mm objective rarely provides a wider field of view than the same model scope with a 40mm lens. Compare the specs on the Buckmaster 3-9X40 to the Buckmaster 3-9X50.

I sent my rebate in on the silver TR2. Haven't heard back from them yet but not worried. A question you folks might help me with, is this rebate a one time deal? I'd like to buy another, they seem to be a great scope and a give-a-way at the rebate price.

Edited to add: Nevermind, I called Natchez and the rebate is one time only. Also, they said they only have one TR2 left, the 2-10x50 with tri-plex. Don't know about TR1s.

Sent my delivery verification. They got it on Jan 16th. No rebate yet. That said, I love the scope. Love it so much my mom needed a 1.5x5 :)

I purchased 2 TR1 3x9 Nitrex scopes at Reeds Sports in Walker Mn in October. I put one in my name using my work address and one in my wifes name using my home address. I recieved both rebate checks by mail about 8 weeks later. I did recieve 2 scope lens pens within 2 weeks of registering the scopes. I love the scopes, they were recommended by Reeds for their great features and high value. Be patient, you will get the money.
