Does "Bowling" really demonstrate an agenda? It never really had any point to me. At one point he says guns are bad, then the next moment he says... wait, the Canadians have guns too and they don't kill people, so maybe it's just America that's bad...
His comments outside of the movie as well as his demonization of Charlton Heston make it clear that he's a gungrabber. His ambiguity in the movie speak more to his film making skills than his desired message IMO.
ETA: it doesn't exactly thrill me that he uses terms like "we," as if he's got the cojones to be the one coming to my door to collect my guns either.
The bowling came from the killers supposedly going bowling the morning of the murders. Apparently they were on the school bowling club or something I don't remember the details.
I watched a speech by Mikey in which he stated that he didn't want to take our hunting guns, just all the other ones. Another fool who seems to think the 2A only applies to hunting even though it never mentions it.
CORRECTION: He said "We're not going to take your hunting guns". Implying they ARE going to take all the others.
I think Bowling for Columbine says a lot about the depths of perversion that the anti's will actually dip to. Ultimately it will be their downfall, as they are not honest, twist facts and statistics FAR beyond what is reasonable and are fear mongering... I think people are starting to see it and when they realize it, the tactics are SO DISTASTEFUL, as to cause the citizen to be turned off by them for good.
