Went out looking for a 44 Taurus tracker and ended up with a long barreled j frame.

And the LGS had two 44 4" trackers and I couldn't keep my paws off this nifty little S&W 60-18

I didn't even know thay made such a gun on the small frame. Should do everything I wanted the trackers to do as a woods/outdoors/hunting/target/CCW piece

Better pics tomorrow. The other revolver is an astra 9shot 22

I always enjoyed carrying my Taurus Tracker in .41 Magnum.

That is a nice find on that Smith.

And it will fill the bill for sure.

I believe they discontinued some calibers for a while, but really all of there big bore revolvers are now Tracker Family. And they still offer the .41 Magnum!

ARRrrrrrrrrrrrgh! The owner of my LGS has a 60-18 he took in trade two years ago and he absolutely refuses to sell it to me! Says it's his favorite gun ever...and he has LOTS of guns

I've seen 2 on the auction sites but the sellers were a bit too proud of them.

Enjoy your new toy...you did good! :)

Ruger's putting a 4.2" barrel and adjustables on the SP101, now, too. Seems to be a surge in trail guns now days. Never a bad thing.

Nice find. I'd like a .41 mag Tracker, myself. But, my Taurus 4" 66 ain't broke as a trail carry if it's a little bigger and heavier than the SP and J frame. I don't really kike all THAT much anymore, anyway.

I shot the pee out of the little 60 today. Obviously with specials it was a joy to shoot as were lower "factory" level magnums. My 16.0g of 296 158xtp hunting load was a bit much and not something you'd want to shoot a lot of. Extraction was slightly sticky with these.

Double and single action shooting at 20yds was a breeze, no can was safe.

I carried it all day in the pancake holster I use for my Taurus 445. Its certainly concealable but a bit barrel pokey for every day "forget its there" carry. I will say that little round butt grip hides very well.

All in all definitely a keeper. I need to find myself a HOT .38 not quite magnum carry load. (New thread anyone?)
