Westernfield M550CL / Mossberg Interchangeability

I have a Westernfield M# M550CL in 20 gauge, which is a Mossberg Model 600, the best I can tell. I want to buy a Mossberg 500 rifled barrel to scope out and use Sabot rounds. Will a Mossberg 500 rifled barrel mate up to this shotgun? I would think it would but maybe not. If not, and it’s because this is probably a model 600, how can I tell if this Westernfield is a model 500 or 600? See attached pic. Thanks!

Yes, a 20 ga Mossberg 500 barrel will fit. The store brand 500's were identical to the Mossberg.

I contacted Mossberg and the very nice guy I spoke with said that if my shotgun held 5 shells, plus one in chamber, the M 500 rifled barrel would fit. Mine does indeed hold 5 with plug removed.

This all has me curious about what the differences are between the model 500 and the model 600 are.
