Well, I have 2 22LR rifles, Winchester model 190, and a Remington 552, both very nice rifles...

I never met a .22 rifle that I didn't like. Some of my favorites would be: CZ 452 Lux, Marlin 39a, Winchester 69a, Remington 572, Marlin model 60.

5 posts without a 10/22 reference!?!
i'll bite.

i love my 10/22 - it's a tack-driver. apparently i've been bitten by a bug because i'm already planning my next couple builds. i do have an old marlin/glenfield, but i can't seem to put the 10/22 down!

Romanian M69 trainer. I have had alot of 22s and this one takes the cake. At a whopping $69.00 and the beat up stock, I think makes it shoot better. The 23" barrel shoots subsonics so quiet....

It shoots them 60 grain bullets just fine too. Infact I can put two mags (ten rounds) in less than 1" at 50 yards with the open sights.

Haven't touched another 22rf since....

I have an old 60's model(I think) Marlin 60. Used to be my dads, but he gave it to me when I was 15 or 16 years old. I love the little bugger, great for hunting rabbit.

I have a whole bunch of .22 rifles. If I had to pick three favorites, I'd say CZ 452 Trainer, Sako Finnfire Hunter, and BSA Martini Model 12. But I love my 795 and Model 60 too.

I had a 10/22. But I am having more fun with my cheap-0 Savage MkII.

1. Stock was butchered to accomodate a CCI ammo box.

2. Can't see it, but the ejection port was enlarged enough where my fat thumb can fit in there to load singles.

3. Trimmed down the mag latch a little.

4. Magazine:

A. Cut down the stock 10-rounder so it's flush. It now holds only 4 rounds.

B. Made a second notch on the mag. When on the lower notch, you can load single rounds without it getting in the way, even when it's loaded. The idea is the mag can always stay in the rifle, even when I'm not using it.

I have a Ruger 10/22 and it has been great, but I grew up using my fathers Marlin and it is the most accurate gun I have ever shot. Couldnt miss with it.

I find marlin rimfires to be good bargains here in the states. I enjoy the 60, 795 & 99m1. Excellent guns under 100. The 795 w/ sling and techsights is the ideal budget appleseed-type trainer IMO.

Over the years I've accumulated a wide variety of .22's and would find it pretty difficult to pick a favorite. That said, two of my favorites are a pre-war Mauser es340b that was made in 1936 and a Springfield Armory 1922MII military trainer made in 1937. I bought these rifles as a package and the machining on these things is phenomenal. I'm certain they would cost a fortune to manufacture today.

I've more recently been enamored with lever-action rifles for some reason. I like them all...the Marlin 39's in all flavors, the Winchester 9422's, and the Henry's. I still haven't run across the "right" Browning, but when I do I'll add that to the list.

Difficult to decide on a favorite, but probably TC Lynx or Remington 541-S for shooting. I like them all.

a have a few & I like them all but I would have to say my favorites are Marlin 39, Marlin 70pss, sears mod 5.

Mine would the only one I own (so far), a Savage Mk. II. I like it's weight and cheap price price for a fun rifle.
