TimPrimarily 270 and 30-30. I am fond of the core lokt remington 270 and leverolution hornandy 30-30.
Any caliber that will kill deer cleanly, but I have only used the above to kill deer.
Dropped a 160 pound 8 point this past Tuesday with 130 grain 270 core lokt.

79 Mercury Marquis and lots of centerfire rifles, slug guns, muzzleloaders , crossbows, and compound bow. They all work. Use good equipment, sight in properly, good loads, and practice and you will find they all work well.
Dont get hung up on magnum BS or the latest, greatest marketing bull for other products. No substitute for practice and good equipment that set up properly.
But remember no wild shots like rear end shots or running shots you should not take.
I would stay away from rimfires and centerfire .22s for deer no matter what the experts say or the Ammo companies with their 223 "deer loads". Be humane . Also some calibers and loads are illegal for game in some states so dont break the law.
