I posted a month ago about purchasing a Revelation 12 gauge and a Savage model 30 12 gauge.
I had about 10" cut off the Revelation and couldn't be happier with it.

I like it!
I have 4 shotguns with barrels in the 18-20" range. I first bought a Browning Auto-5 with the intention of shortening the barrel to about 18", ostensibly to make a HD gun out of it. After shortening the barrel and having Michael Orlen install Colonial Sporting Clay screw-in chokes, I found that I love to shoot the gun. I now have three additional Ithaca 37s set up in a similar manner. These, especially the Auto-5, are my favorite shotguns to take out and shoot for just about any purpose from informal clay targets to wing shooting or plinking. I have other full-length shotguns, but I just prefer this configuration for a lot of stuff, kind of like I prefer a 6" revolver to a 12" one.
