3/4 ton pick-up, till the springs start to sag, no really, holster, rifle rack, belt buckle [NAA mini] guess it depends which range, if I am alone or with lots of friends. Am I testing a new load, new gun, grandkid. How much room, am I taking a shotgun for birding on the side of a bow hunt. Like anything gun buy all the accessories you can till the wife starts to whine, oil the wife and buy some more. What law do you have to put up with, here a loaded gun in a rack is still legal someplaces even common. For getting 4 or 5 pistols to a range I'd put them in my SXS shotgun case in rugs or gunsocks.

This is a situation where your best bet may be a local gun show. At a show of any decent size there will be a couple of vendors that may have just what you need at a reasonable price. You'll probably have to pay sales tax, but no shipping charge.

LowePro Nova 3 camera bag. I only take 2 or 3 handguns and each one takes up one section. For ammo, I usually only take 100-150 rounds and the boxes fit next to the guns.

I use a cheapo tool box from Wally world that is lined with foam. Carries several handguns and the compartments and tray carries the usual range stuff. Sometimes I take two. They are lockable, ..and don't raise eyebrows when in the vehicle.
