This is the question I get every year from the kids (all grown up now) and I usually just say dont worry about it, but when they insist I usually just say a gift card - and I end up with Cabelas or Home Depot gift cards - Which is fine with me.

Now, my wife and I have evolved at this point to - hey, this is what you bought me for Christmas this year - if the kids are coming over we actually wrap some of the presents we bought ourselves from each other.

So, I thought it might be fun to ask you all, especially those that have been reloading for a while, if you got asked this question what would you want? Let's say under $200 (that way the 4 kids can chip in $50 each to get it), any new nifty stuff out there, anything you have thought about getting as a luxury or a that would be cool, i might get one of those someday items?

AKA - Gifts for the reloader for under $200

Does not matter what my current setup is, as this is more a way for us to put together a list of gift stuff under $200 for the reloader

I agree 100%. But not for myself - for everyone who is not as well stocked on primers as I am. My Christmas wish is that reasonably priced primers will be back on store shelves very SOON! How's that for Christmas spirit?:D
Seriously, I hope my two daughters put together don't spend $200 on me for Christmas, and a $100 gift card from Lowe's from the two of them would be great. Or, if my wife put in with our daughters, the three of them could buy me a Bond Arms derringer (45 Colt/.410) like I've been wanting for about 6 months now. The only problem with that is, Bond Arms derringers seem to be as scarce as primers anywhere within a hundred mile radius of here.:uhoh:

All I want for Christmas is a world of peas. ;)

Seriously, I got new/replacement die boxes one year and they have been great. The factory boxes are sometimes crud and most of the old ones have split backs where the plastic "hinge" got worn out but MTM makes hinged boxes that hold die plates, up to 8 individual dies, a bunch of options. I put together custom sets (some Lee, some Hornady, etc.) in one box to keep them all together. Universal trays and cartridge boards are also nice and I gave my FIL one of the MTM displays for his reloading wall to keep his "standards" for resetting his dies when changes bullets.

I also really like these for long-term storage of "stuff"

A nice rcbs steel or brass noe mold.
A 1k order of rmr bullets in a caliber I need.
A box of lapua or Peterson brass for my rifle.
A couple of bars of superhard from rotometals
A custom honed forester sizing die
A lyman case trimmer... I getting one this year
A 21st mandrel set for the caliber of your choice.
A pin guage set....
Is that enough?????

For us it's about the grandkids now. Wife and I agreed years ago not to buy anything for each other, never have stuck to it. So we finally talked kids into going in together with each of us to get one gift for the other. We each had to list three items we might like between $200 and $600. My wife is getting a new laptop, I'm probably getting a Frankfurt Arsenal case trim & prep or maybe a Cross bow.

If you load bottleneck cases, this might be useful:

I'd like a family day at the range. Me, the wife, and the 2 kids. Throwing lead downrange with them is always fun. I won't get everyone this year(my daughter is in the Army and is overeseas in South Korea) but maybe I can get the other 2. I got 2 1911's that I want them to try out.

I went with a friend to his private range the other day. He doesn't reload and there was brass everywhere. I picked up about 500 pcs of assorted brass, sorted it out, resized some, and have some put up for my friend. Stored the rest.
Told the guy I was gonna bring a 5 gal bucket and a shovel next time.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

I sure would like to have a friend like you have. I find very little brass on the ground around here.
