I just registered for the new game at Camp Perry this year, the M-1 Carbine match. The CMP website says the target for this match will be a military "A" target or the SR target if "A's" aren't available. What does this target look like? Is it just a reduced size SR? if so how much is it reduced?

Still haven't found an answer, huh?

FWIW, I did a quick search on the NRA, Target Barn, and a few other websites, but I couldn't find an "A" target.

The booklet describes the target.

"Standard U.S. Military "A" target with 4" V and 12" 5 rings black."

It's a 5 point target (highest score per shot is 5V).

The rings are scored 1-5 and "V" for a center hit. It has a 4" diameter V center, and a 12" outside diameter 5 ring with the V and the 5 rings black.

The black aiming point (made up of the 5 and V rings) is 1 foot across. Each scoring ring is 4" wide so the scoring portion of the target (outside diameter of the 1 ring) is 44" across.

THANKS JOHN, what booklet did you find that in? I need one.

And to answer your sig. line...YES, life member # 1487xx:cool:

On the "Matches" section of the CMP website, there's a PDF rules booklet that you can download.

Sorry, that was sort of cryptic wasn't it...
