About 50 rounds of .22 LR through the S&W 17 with the 8 3/8” barrel, 30 rounds of homemade .38 Special through the S&W 14, and 10 rounds of 9 mm PMC ball through the CZ 2075 RAMI, at the exceptional indoor range at Cherokee Firearms in Springfield, Missouri. I won’t show the targets because I suck. But what a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon!

Had a .22 shootoff between my Thompson Center .22 Classic and my Savage MK2 FV.

25 yards off sandbags, 7 different flavors of ammo:
CMP Federal HV bulk
Federal AutoMatch
Federal HV Match
CCI MiniMag
Winchester Wildcat
Remington Golden Bullet
CMP Eley Bulk

Shot some one hole groups with the Savage with Eley and some of the Federal ammo.
Shot smaller one hole groups with the TC and smaller groups with the ones that weren't one hole.

I have a severe astigmatism in my shooting eye, so cross hairs are blurry all the time...I did find it easier to shoot at points instead of centers when I shot the TC 2nd. So it may have had an advantage there.

Went shooting yesterday.
Glock 17
Glock 19
Colt rail gun
Browning buckmark
Suppressed BCM/Spikes 12.5" AR pistol

I didn't get pics. Maybe my wife did. I'll check and edit if so.

Hi...
My son and I spent the morning at one of the gun clubs which we have memberships in.
I shot about 20 rounds each through both of my .38Spl revolvers, about 20 rounds each through all four of my .44Spl revolvers, 20rounds each through my three .41Msg revolvers and about 80 rounds through four of my .45Colt revolvers.
Topped the day off by shooting two magazines full through my .45ACP Springfield Armory 1911 carry gun.
Had the .44Mag revolvers along but I never got around to shooting them today although my son did. He shot a lot more .45ACP through his guns than I did plus he shot a lot of .357Mag out of various revolvers. I never got around to that caliber today either.

I was able to hit the steel plates very consistently off hand out to 25yds both single action and double action and in various calibers. Only misses occurred when I let myself get sloppy. Also was able to spend a few rounds turning some rocks into smaller rocks on the 25yd berm.

All in all, a pretty good day's shooting....probably 3-4 hours spent on the range.

My old Ithaca 37 12 gauge. I'm a little short on SPPs so I put the revolver up and got out my old Trius One Step thrower and my mid 70s Model 37. Wind was blowing the rocks all over and that was fun. I've got two barrels, a full choke and a modified choke. Darned if I don't shoot the full choke barrel better.

I shot 75 rounds of 158 grain 38 spl through my Dan Wesson 15-2 V6 .357 mag at the indoor range. Also shot 50 rounds of 22 LR out of my SA Ruger 3 screw. I'm going to the range less frequently and shooting fewer rounds trying to conserve my stash of ammo bought before the panic. The unexpected result is I'm getting better practice sessions because I'm trying to make every shot count and taking my time. I wasted a lot of ammo previously continuing to shoot after I got tired and sloppy.

I’ve got a bullseye match coming up so I checked zero on a few of my precision pistols, Colt Gold Cup Series 70, S&W 945 and two S&W 41’s. About 150 rounds total.

VZ-58, a striker-fired, milled receiver, 7.62x39 rifle. Made in the Czech Republic and imported by Czechpoint.

No targets--just large drink bottles sprayed with orange paint, tethered to the ground with large weedeater cord.
Fun is the purpose--don't have to worry about "group this, group that".

A buddy gave me an old, pretty durn clean VXII 3-9X40 last weekend. Mounted it on a minty 572 BDL....Sighted it in today. Got away from my 22's a few years ago because of ammo availability. Choosing to load lead bullets in center fire. Been doing that, and just not that wound up about 22's anymore. But this scope needed a home.

Got an,as NIB 5star Redfield mounted on another Remington today as well. This one is also minty,an unmolested 541S. Took off a very clean, post reticle Burris 4X to mount the straight 6 Redfield. Will sight it in later today or tomorrow and post a pic.

Gonna go kill some squirrels this season.

Hit the range at my club this morning from 9 a.m. to noon and had it all to myself for 3 hrs. Brought out the Savage Mod. 10 in 300 WSM and the Marlin 30AS .30-30. Tried some very mild starting loads with 150 gr. bullets in the 300 WSM just to see what kind of 100 yd. groups I could get. Might put it into the rotation for deer season around here and I won't need full power 300 magnum loads for deer around here. Always wanted to take a whitetail with it but never have. Got a mule deer and an antelope with it in Wyoming years ago using 150 gr. bullets loaded to book max running a little over 3200 fps..... Don't need that level of power now; plus my shoulder ain't getting any younger, either. Tried a few 30-30 "curiosity loads" like one with 125 gr. bullets that I've never used. Shot O.K. but I'm sticking with my "go-to" 150 & 170 gr. .30-30 loads for actual hunting. Also put 18 rounds through the 7.5" Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag. with some 300 gr. hard cast bullets and H-110 powder at 50 yards to check zero and just practice a bit. It remains all dialed in same as last year. Next time I'll bring the chrono and discover what velocity those 300 WSM starting loads are running. Great way to spend a summer morning. Here's the Model 10 on the bench with my coffee cup. IMG_9942.JPG .

Bought a Glock 44 a few weeks ago and shot it today. I’m still trying to get used to the trigger. I will say one thing it’s making me shoot any double action revolvers I have much better.
