Seems like every shooting discipline has its own requirements for gear and accessories.

Trap shooters need vests. Pistol shooters need holsters. EBR shooters need...well, beyond oodles of ammo, they need something else.

But what does every type of shooter need? Gun cases? Lubricants?

Is there some product that cuts across all the shooting discipline lines?

gun cleaning kit

A gun cleaning kit should be essential if you have 1 firearm or 100. Keeping a firearm cleannot only keeps it functioning and in better condition but it also improves accuracy. Taking time to break down firearms and clean them also makes you more familiar with your gun. Definetly a must.

To start with what is, I hope, the obvious - eye and hearing protection. It's also hard for me to imagine any shooter not using cleaning rods, bore brushes, jags, etc. But perhaps these are merely so basic that they shouldn't be mentioned except to acknowledge that they are "the basics".

One thing I need for rifle shooting that isn't a need for pistol shooting is a recoil pad. I'm "recoil averse", in part because I'm 5'11" and weight only 150 lbs fully clothed, and in part because I have arthritus in my right shoulder (I'm right handed).

Gun cleaning paraphernalia.

We all clean our firearms, at least occasionally -- Don't We? :uhoh:

-Range bags of some type

-Lockable handgun boxes to meet CCW regulations (local and/or out of town regs)

-Plastic Magnets for Shotgun hulls. *
-Brass Magnets for spent shell casings.*

*Granted most time my magnets resemble kids about so high...
Does not mean if one were to actually market a Plastic/ Brass Magnet it would not sell...

If you build it - they will buy it. ;)
