What Guns and Suppressors do you plan on buying if the HPA passes?

I've heard some folks deeper into the politics than 99% of us in here state there is a good chance a number of Democrats might go along with the HPA as a number of them are up for re-election in 2018, and many of them are from states that Trump carried.

If the HPA were to pass, I'd definitely buy more silencers - my decision then would be to buy immediately (in order to beat temporary price spikes / shortages) or wait until prices come down after folks have bought all they want?
I'm thinking silencers may mirror what we've seen with 22 ammo over the last few years, albeit for different reasons.

I had a silencer dealer tell me he had talked to the head of a silencer maker he deals with tell him:
1. It cost him around $10 to produce the silencer (don't know which model - maybe the cheapest 22 silencer?).
2. It cost him $59 in paperwork etc. to satifsfy the government / ATF.

Just got my first 10/22 - they never really did much for me until the newly released 10/22 Takedown Heavy Barrel. If the HPA were to pass, I might consider getting a 10/22 with an integral suppressor.

I'm not a big fan of suppressors, having had one to go with my MAC 11. (I wasn't a big fan of the MAC 11, either.) Therefore, I would not rush out and buy one if the HPA passes. However, Ruger would probably come out with a Mark V .22 pistol, with an integral suppressor. I would buy that simply because l have all the other ones in the series.

I have a lot of suppressors as it is. Pretty much everything I need with one exception. I really want the OSS 50 bmg suppressor for my Barrett. I was going to buy one this year regardless if the HPA passes. If it does pass, I will sit back and wait. Prices will drop, then I will pounce. For those that are interested, OSS uses a pretty cool design, not standard baffles. Here is a video, no hearing protection, enclosed room, 50 cal Barrett:

I will buy 4. .223 cans will work on 22lr and 17 calibers. Not perfect but well enough. .308 cans will work for all 30 caliber rifles and should tame the quarter-bores, 7mms, and .277s considerably. A 9mm can will be 3rd on the list for use on my pistols, and then last but not least I would buy a 45 can just to have. I probably wouldn't use it because I don't care for 45acp, but I would buy one to have in case I decide to build a socom rifle upper.

The only gun I would buy specifically would be an integrally suppressed 10/22 because they are really fun, but if it passes I believe I can modify my own gun to suppress it, and I would rather do that.

When prices came back down I would likely buy a Walther ppk and either get the barrel threaded or buy a threaded barrel for it. I watched too many James Bond movies as a child.

Try the PP instead. Bigger (longer) grip to support the front-heavy gun. Otherwise I really like where your going with that thought.

What about a dedicated 22 can, it would work on 22, 17 and even 5.7. A 30 cal can with an interchangeable end cap (like the Saker 762), that can do 300 win mag all the way down to 223. You don't even have to change the end cap if you don't want to, it's barely noticeable. And a 45 can like the Octane HD, you can use it on anything smaller just by changing the piston. I use my Octane on my 9mm's and it works great, just use 147 gr. Now you have either more $ to get your stuff threaded or to buy another suppressor.

I don't think I will be needing any new guns as I have a few irons in the fire. I have my Winchester Cimarron 1873 in .357 mag being threaded at the gunsmith right now for when I borrow my friends supressor, someday soon hopefully I will have my own. As well my .223 varmint rifle (ruger American ranch).

Possibly a big bore rifle can. Likely a dedicated 9mm can because my 45 can is doing double duty and is kind of big.

I might just get them anyway even without the HPA. If it does pass, I'll probably do some home built stuff and experimentation.

I'd buy whatever struck me at the time, just get a model with a threaded barrel.
Then I'd move into a place with a garage again, and make another order with Grizzly for a new lathe.

I wouldn't buy any. I'd make my own...but I haven't needed one up to now so why bother?
Besides, everyone will be jumping all over each other to get one. The guns I like will be overlooked for a while. Prices will drop and I will make out. Bonus!

I'll probably buy a Nelson Custom 1911 .22 conversion with a threaded barrel and also a new Kidd threaded barrel for my 10/22. I will get a .22lr suppressor for those and then save up and get my Savage 11 in .308 threaded or a new threaded barrel. A suppressor for my AR would also be in order. In a couple years when my bank account recovers I might get interested in a .300 blackout AR or a suppressed PCC.

I'd get a 9mm can for my HKs and probably have a barrel made up for my Scorpion that permanently affixes the can to make it long enough to not need a stamp (no SBR).

MY Ruger Precision Rifle in .243 for predetor and varmint hunting. But I live in NJ so I wont be able to suppress anything. Hell Id be happy just to be able to conceal carry here.

Actually, if I was planning on making stuff anyway, I've always wanted to make a modified-for-legality PPSH.
I'd just make that barrel shroud an integrated suppressor, instead.
