-For EDC concealed, I started on a RIA Compact .45 It was too heavy.
-I like carrying revolvers sometimes, got a Smith 637.
-So I switched from the RIA to a Kimber Ultra Raptor. Better weight, and I could use the same holster.
-Springfield released the XD-S, I tried one and liked it. Once I started carrying it, I realized that metal autos were for the range. I haven't carried one since.
-Bought an LCP, it is still my pocket carry gun.
-I tried out a Taurus 85UL. Essentially it was a close match to the 637 that shot better and the Smith's finish was delicate, so it was getting trashed (paint, really?). Eventually I shelved the Smith and only carry the Taurus.
-Since the LCP was nice, I bought an LC9S. Carried it for a bit, but the XD-S was about the same round count, and I prefer .45. It got shelved.
-PSA put the PT111 on sale, I figured I would try them out, not sure about carrying a Taurus semi. After many rounds, I changed my mind. I still carry it.
-I bought a Shield 45 for fun while they had the rebate going. It outshot the XD-S for me on the first range trip. XD-S was removed from rotation.
So now the carry rotation is:
-Shield 45 for normal carry.
-Taurus PT111 if I decide I want 12 rounds and a 17-round reload
-LCP for pocket carry
-Taurus 85 when I am wearing lighter clothes. It just vanishes IWB.
