What have you done in the reloading room today

Shot 60 rounds of .41 this afternoon... so when I got home from bowling, I pulled the 9mm out of the tumbler, and chucked in the .41 brass. Went upstairs and sorted the 9mm out and put it away.

Was looking over my inventory sheets... I realized I had another 3# of H335 setting on the shelf that was not accounted for, so I had to update the list.... so, powder for another 850 rounds of 5.56mm. I guess that's good....

This, just teasing you
Well once you subtract the inevitable small spills from the powder dispenser from the force of the powder being dispensed and when trying to empty the hopper after your done, it's probably gonna be a bit less. So you're not wrong, lol.

He's got 5 whole grains of H335 left over from 3 pounds after 850 loads. What could go wrong?

My Midway order pulled up today... 300 142grn 6.5mm SMK's, and 50 Nosler Accubonds... :)

Pulled the .41 brass out of the tumbler and junked the media... it was nasty. I'll have to size this brass and clean the primer pockets up before these go back in inventory.

Today, I bargained 100 LPP from a shooting buddy for $5.
I just loaded and started my Dillon (Large) tumbler with 45ACP brass.
edited: tossed in a batch of 38 spls after the 45's....feel like I have accomplished something after a long 'sleep'.
Note: FWIW, I do not have OCPD, I tumble my handgun brass before depriming and sizing (carbide dies) and do not clean/uniform the primer pockets for the past 50 years.....yes I am that old. I normally shoot mid range loads so the brass is not overly stressed but occassionally load to factory loads for my CCW training and qualifications.

Were these the Moon Dust Caked cases from a while back? Did you ever get a primer pocket cleaner for them?

...exactly! These are still some of the older cases that have not been suitably prepped. Not Moon Dust... that's Unique... Moon ROCK! ;)

I still have about 700 rounds left to shoot that I've loaded previously. I'm trying to keep them separate so I don't duplicate me efforts.

Lets see.

What have I done SO FAR?

Well, I bought ANOTHER pump shotgun, and I put it on the floor in the reloading room. That's gotta count for something.

And I answered an email from American Reloading.

I got some shells in reloading blocks. Need to drop powder and stuff bullets.

I think I'll get on that now.

50 brand new starline 45 auto brass set in the reloading block… waiting for primers and… probably true blue.

You getting the storm there where you are? It’s the deep freeze here this weekend and some more snow.
The kids were out of school, and there were a few naders south in Florida, but we just got some rain. I pulled the ac/DC converter from my chargemaster just in case, but basically a nothingburger here in Kingsland/st marys.

What did i actually do? An oops… I realized like 2 seconds to late I forgot to flare…. 😡 grrr 🐯

Unloaded from today’s range trip. Tomorrow will bring sorting & tumbling brass, gun cleaning, and scope & red dot tweaks.

Ok I got the rest of the stuff in for the Pi Tablet thing. Already set up a Google Sheet. Just need to figure out a mounting solution for my shelf.... The screen has two sets of threaded mounting spots, one for the Pi and one for a diy case or a diy mount.

Sized those .41 cases. Unlike the other cases... the ones I loaded with IMR4227... these cases, loaded with W296, didn't have the carbon buildup in the primer pocket. There was a little, but nothing like the others.

Pondered what I wanted to load next... I think Imma load some of those Xtreme .41 bullets I picked up... a few over Unique, and I'm curious how they will do loaded over H110.

Truth being stranger than fiction... I went to the Xtreme website. They have their own load data in a downloadable manual format!!! Unfortunately... the one bullet that they don't have data for is... you guessed it... the .41.

ETA: I do have an email into them... I have questions about their bullet, and I want to see if they actually have data for the .41 bullet, now.

Assembled .45 Colt, 250 gr. poly coated cast RNFP ( T&B Bullets ) on top of 7.8 grs. of BE-86. It's an 850 FPS load from my 7 1/2" Blackhawk. Starline cases, Winchester LPP.
