What have you done in the reloading room today

Went and loaded twenty like geo57, except, I went with 7.5gr BE-86. Those were the only 20 empty .45 Colt cases I had.
This will have to be corrected shortly.

I converted my Dilllon RL550 from 45ACP to 357 Mag, and then loaded up 63 357 Mag loads. Starline brass, Zero 158gr JHP, Rem 2-1/2 primer, 16.6gr WW296. I will run these through my Ruger Blackhawk 357 Mag, hopefully sometime in the next couple of weeks. I last loaded 357mag ammo in 2020.

Since you said you were looking... One of the better deals online that I could find for new Starline .45 Colt brass is @ Diamond K Brass. $54 for 200. Says " in stock ". I do not know what shipping & tax would be. Hope that helps.

Today I took apart my RockChucker II, cleaned, lubed and reassembled.
Good as new!
It is now ready to move from the garage to the reloading room, ....other wise known as the spare bedroom.

Being stuck in the house for the second "snowpocalypse" of the week, I had plenty of time. Put some "vertex" grips on my 92fs that a buddy gave me from his, cleaned a couple guns, and loaded a bunch of 9mm on the Pro 6000.

I loaded 300 38spl 158gr Xtreme RNFP over 4.3 grains HP-38 using WInn SPP on the Lee Classic Turret press. Winter is my reloading season.

You too? lol. Another 8”+ today.. and 6 degrees.

I worked a half day and then spun my way home in my Honda accord; I fiddled with a ladder of true blue in 45 auto, but didn’t accomplish much. After the snow let up i gathered up the test ladder(s),put ‘em in the car, and drove west out of the snow. Supposed to get the last deer hunting in tomorrow, but I’m getting soft and I dunno if I wanna deal with -20 (-40 something with windchill). Might borrow a buddies lab radar and see what my new ‘yote loads will do instead… the heated shed is only an20 yard instead of a mile walk away.

Wind chills of -5 to -10 starting Sunday and through most of next week. There is one more small section of my reloading bench to organize and sounds like next week a good time to do it.

I’m still looking for a good load with the Berrys DEWC I found. I loaded up test charges in both CFE Pistol and W231. It’s pretty nice for pistols. The entire charge range from the Lyman cast manual for W231 only took 4 sets using 0.2 grain increments. The bullets look pretty cool in the nickel plated cases I’ve been using.

Go fast... tightgroup, Bullseye or competition

Yup! 13" Tuesday, another 8" with 30-40mph winds, and 12° today. I went out and snowblowed the driveway, and it looks like a tunnel, haven't been out of the house otherwise. Temps are supposed to drop to 0° tomorrow with the same wind, supposed -35° wind-chill, so probably more reloading 🤣. I'm just about to finish off this 1lb jug of N320!

I suppose some day I might see snow.
Maybe.

Not that I have desire to be in the lead on One Up but... We've had 20 inches of snow since Monday. 9" then and another infusion of 11" last night with winds to 40 mph. The wind chill was -9 while I scooped us out for 2 hours today but it felt warmer. 3 - 4 foot drifts are commonplace. Sat night actual temp is forecast to be -18 with wind so WC's will be crisp. Guessing in the -40 range. Once in my life many years ago I saw -60 wind chill here.

70. Wet. Clouds.
It’s going to get down into the lower 20’s next week. Cold enough to snow but it won’t. The airs too moist for that.

I just put the 2nd load of brass in the tumbler and have the 1st load laid out on a towel to dry. Plan to do 4 loads today and however many it takes to finish up tomorrow.

During my marathon tumbling sessions of last week I found a coffee can each of 270's and 7mm's that got put away without being tumbled! Can't have that can we???

I really need to make some drying racks like I've seen a few of you guys using. Theres enough new construction going on in my neighborhood that I need to ride around and look at some scrap piles! Maybe with a 6-pack for Juan or Hosey!!!

IMG_3359.jpeg I still dislike slip boxes! A couple times more now!
IMG_3360.jpeg It had warmed up to -2 when I got back from my range session. IMG_3365.jpeg None of the 110vmax shot spectacular, but huge clothes, gloves, wind etc… that definitely played a part.

I loaded up another 100 of 38 Spl 148-grain Speer HBWC, 3.0 grains of HP-38.

The weather has finally gotten cold here, and the cold will settle in for a while. I plan to use this time to catch up on the loading.

Same for me. They shot well, just... as you say... not spectacular. It's a fun bullet to shoot... turning the .308 into a 5.56mm (recoil-wise.)
That’s for sure. My 15lb gun with a brake ain’t bad to start with. Seems to like 47+ gr of benchmark. I may try running up a little higher, as it was improving.
