What have you done in the reloading room today

Posted in AJC1's "Managing Casts" thread as well, but...

Finished coating the last 30-30 casts this week, just need to get new 38-55 moulds in to cast and coat around 1k total between 2 moulds and I'll be done for the year. Another 40ish lbs between the 2 styles.

The long road of sizing all of these has started, by Saturday I had finished the 357 mag 158gr PB solids, after counting and bagging came out with 1532 casts. Working on the 357 mag 146gr PB deep HPs now.

Yesterday was tumbling 357 mag cases from lever action silhouette, at which I had an amazing match.

Shot 22/40, a personal best for me.
7/10 chickens (personal best as well)
5 in a row on pigs, and juuust barely missed out on a 10 in a row. This is my first ever 5 in a row.
Won the B class division by 2 shots, funnily enough the other guy in B class I was competing against most was my spotting/scoring partner. He shot a 20 which was a new best for him as well. He also got his first 5s in a row, on pigs AND turkeys. I was really happy for him. We're in competition with each other but in a supportive way, and we like to see each other getting better.
One more score above B class next month and I'll get to move to A class officially.

So a pretty good week/weekend. Now back to the work week. Ho hum, haha.

I really miss Silhouette, they only do 22 here in south GA. Broc loved 357 and did quite well. Maybe I should travel a bit for a match....

If there's one not too far that does centerfire I say go for it.

Since I started back in August I can't imagine (at least for now) not going to the monthly match. I was really bummed when our match in October got bumped and then eventually canceled.

I love simply doing load development and trying to shoot the best groups from the bench that I can, but now I have something to apply it to, if that makes sense. I'm also getting way better at shooting off hand.

Apparently there was a regional match around me between last month and this months match. I didn't go but I'm thinking next one I will. Have to talk to the guys that show up every month and keep my ear to the ground to find out when that will be though, I'm not an NRA member.

Got my UPS (the driver was really happy about not having to go down our road after three days of torrential rains 🤣). I just got done priming 100 .38Spl. Even the French cases seemed to seat pretty easily. I could feel some chatter about halfway through the seating. It let up about 5 thousandths before bottoming out. An extra squeeze on those primers flattened the faces of the primers but didn’t seat them any deeper.
Unfortunately work is interfering with my reloading time 😞

You actually counted them?! Piece by piece counted?

I usually just weigh ten or twenty pieces, weigh them all together, and mathematicate out the answer.

Yes, mathematicate. That's how us rednecks that dislike math come at an answer.

We mathematicate.

Got my dumbass hat on. Got my turret press set up for the right powder load, lockout die, and powder measure die for .44 magnum only to realize my bullet feeder die is for .380/9mm 38spl and .357 only. And that I will need to order the larger feeder die and tubes to load .44M and .45LC when they come back in stock. D'oh!
Stupid comes in all sizes, I reckon.

This afternoon I loaded up 50 rounds of my .45 auto target load (200gr SWC over 4.0 gr Clays).

I also warmed up the casting pot and cast about 500 125 grain SWC that I use for .357 mag and .38 special. The mold is Accurate #36-125K. This mold is definitely one of my favorites--I only had 3 rejects out of the entire bunch! Not too bad.

My kiddo is home after the weekend with mom, and she’s got a cold. So not a lot tonight.(I also made sausage gravy and biscuits for supper, and managed to spill it ALL OVER the stove! That mess seriously ruined my time this evening!!!) IMG_3837.jpeg I put these on the shelf. I got 50 fiocchi 9mm cases ready to load up. These are ones that got scarred up by my old sizing die, so it probably berry’s and… red dot? Bullseye? Cfe pistol? Decisions, decisions… I also got out the bin of Win headstamp 9mm to get ready to run hornady hap and probably autocomp or else power pistol…

Yea counted and bagged by the 100, it's not really all that hard. I just took an empty 50rd Berry's box and filled each slot with 2 bullets and dumped them into a sandwich baggy.

I like to have bullets bagged in 100ct, 80ct or 40ct depending on the bullet so I'd know if I wouldn't have enough for a full set before starting to load.

Last few days I cleaned and deprimed 300 .45 Colt cases, then primed and reloaded them the day after, using the remainder of my bullets. Today my re-order came, 500 more bullets (Everglades 250 grain plated RNFP), and another 300 new Starline .45 Colt brass. I also got 200 158 grain RN lead .38Spl. bullets. I need to add to my primer supply now, but I have enough to load all the .45 Colt.

Got the uniflow out and loaded up some more test loads in .300 blackout with 110 Vmaxes at 2.070, 2.080, and 2.090, and then 110 TAC-TX's 5 each at 20.0&20.2gr, all with H110. Hoping seating a little longer helps the Vmaxes feed.

Those 110s in 300 bo seem really well liked... I kinda want to try a box in 308 to see how fast I can get them....
