If you're going to that level of effort you need to buy some VFG Bore pellets and the appropriate holder.
There are 2 types of pellets.
Regular felt and intensive.
This is the adapter that I prefer.

It's either been too cold, too windy or too messy to get to the range lately. So WHY do I keep making batch after batch of ammo that I may not get around to shooting for months?? It's a SICKNESS, I tell ya!!!!!

This past Thursday morning I finished those 200 45 ACP's.
230 grain FMJ RN over a load of CFE Pistol touched off by Winchester LPP.
I'm thinking 38 Special will be next on deck to feed my 38 S&W Special K-38 Target Masterpiece, that has come full circle back to me from 1965!
Yeah, I was only 8 years old when my Dad sold it for $65.00.

Loaded a ladder for my Budget Reloading Tools vs Higher End Tools thread.
The 30mph-40mph winds at the club had other plans so I shot some 6br Norma and came home.
Tonight I set up my new to me Magma 45-285 FP-FB mold and cast 200 test bullets.

More .380 and 7mm brass prep. This batch of 380 came out so clean and shiny you could shave looking at the inside base. Wet tumbling is a marvel, and my new hero!

My Scout leader always told us, "Be Prepared".It's either been too cold, too windy or too messy to get to the range lately. So WHY do I keep making batch after batch of ammo that I may not get around to shooting for months?? It's a SICKNESS, I tell ya!!!!!

Mostly yesterday except for the picture, started preparing for next phase of my 45acp case longevity test.
While I'll continue using the 50 Winchester cases I have remaining from my original test batch, they're getting so short and have 20 firings each on them, I was planning on adding 70 almost new HRTRS (Herters).
The Herters all measure .892". When I started the Winchesters back in May/June, I didn't measure length. I only did that after a couple months and even then just picked anything over .893" regardless. It was a mix all they way up to .899".
In preparing the Herters, I uniformed the primer pockets of course, deburred the flash holes, chamfered the mouth, sized, expanded and primed.
But, I HATE these cases! Even after uniforming, etc., the primer pockets are exceptionally tight to the point of being nearly unworkable with CCI primers and my Lee primer arm. So, I'm left with a decision--do I really want to wrestle with these for many months to come? Probably not.
But I loaded em up since they're primed. I'll shoot them and give myself some time to think more calmly about using them.

Yea, I was busy/lazy/didn't have the time/no excuse/let the bore get filthy, so I had a lot of scrubbing to do.
After much soaking, scrubbing, soaking, scrubbing........669 hard rounds down the barrel.
I've tried several ways to use JB, the pellets work real well, but I need more.

I’ve got the stool and tackle box of components setup where I can hear if needed but won’t keep the patient from resting. Portability is awesome!
Fortunately that isn't so, but I was worried about it when I shot a test group after the PRS match where I struggled so badly.
Shot two good three shot groups in a light wind today. Nice SD too. Forgot to chrono the first three shots though, dang it.
Forgot to push "OK" the last time........SIgh....but at least I looked and didn't miss the last three. Whew, that was close.

This morning I woke up early, drank coffee, and loaded up some 110 TAC-TX's with H110, 5 with crimp, 5 without to "prove it". Then loaded 110 Vmaxes with .2gr more to try.
110 Vmaxes shot great, 2150fps, 1.3" group! Now the 110 TAC-TX's on the other hand.... I may have screwed up somewhere. 2.5" groups, 40fps faster, ES/SD's were nice and low though. Probably loaded them with the .2hr higher I did for the Vmaxes.
Deprimed the little bit of brass from today's range trip, and looked through some load data for 125's in .300 BLK this evening.

Loaded up a quick ladder for the new Model 57. MBC 215-grain SWCs seated to 1.590" with AA#9 and Remington LPP. Six each at 15.0, 15.5 and 16.0 grains. Hoping to shoot these over the Chrony F1 tomorrow or Wednesday.
Also decapped and tumbled 50 pieces each 9mm and .357 Magnum brass.

Wash day, normally happens on Sunday, but it rained all day Saturday so we shot on sunday.... so 45 cal and 7.7 doesn't go well together either
