What have you done in the reloading room today

Wiring. Technically it was in the man room. The man room is essentially a bonus room accessed through a small closet, and the wiring was for the den which is underneath the man room. Luckily though, I have a few circuits of 120v ac power that WERE in the den but I removed the wall that they were in so now I have circuits to use in the man room when I eventually get around to putting it together. The man room is going to be in large part scavenged parts of the apartment and den portion of the house (that wall separated the two, now it’s a large den). I have 3 upper wall mount cabinets, a large delta wing shaped countertop with an inconvenient sink hole in the center of the V, a dozen studs, a heavy solid door, and the wiring hitch will be greatly needed.

Slow and steady. It will happen soon. Need a cheap window AC unit up there. It’s already toasty on sunny days. There are 2 big windows, so that will be easy once it is bought. Big plans here since I have room. General work bench, reloading bench, fly tying bench, storage, 3d printing station, working office… it’s basically my dream space except there is no garage doors, 2post lifts, or machine tools.

HaHa, I sold my RL550 with all the accoutrements to my MB mechanic. actually swapped for a huge repair. I am glad to intro him to reloading.
I still have smelting and casting eq. to get out of here.
Oh yea, and a RL450, and a RCBS Jr.
Why? I'm getting older, I can't do the outdoor competitions any more; i have a shunt in my head. The neurosurgeon says, "one fall on it could be fatal".
Anyway this is only for seeing what similar folks out there are experiencing.
Stay safe,
Max

Had to flip a coin to decide on what powder to try in 300 blackout after getting a lb of both 300-MP and Lil Gun yesterday. 300-MP was heads, Lil Gun was tails, and it came up heads. 125 TNT's and 110 TAC-TX's with ladders of 300-MP. Hoping for a more consistently accurate load with decent velocity on the 110's, curious to even see how the 125's shoot. Then got busy cleaning out a drawer in the reloading room for all of my different six pack pro things, and put them away in it.

If you have a 38cal mold I'd be interested in it.

Separated all the 9 and 40 brass from today's session out back with the new shooter. Not too many centerfires today, maybe 100. Cleared the bench off and spent the better part of the rest of the day pulling rifles out of the safes and giving them the spring check up and oiling.
Last time I did that it took a couple of weeks. This is the organized safe. 😖

Well, I am home from work early, and it really seems like I should go downstairs and work on something in the reloading room. However, I am home from work early because my left arm is now in a sling… (shoulder, injury of some sort… the insurance waiting mess) so, here we are.

Bummer. I think adding stickers counts.
Praying for a speedy recovery. 👍

I WAS going to load some .300 blackout tonight, but the 20" SPR barrel I ordered from WOA showed up today. Super fast shipping! So instead of a reloading bench, it was an "upper assembly bench" tonight. Got it all together, and I'm not quite happy with how close the handrail is to the bottom of the gas block, so I may have to fiddle with it a little tomorrow.

Sized, flared, primed, charged, seated and crimped (in other words, loaded) a dozen rounds of .41 Magnum with MBC 215-grain LSWCs and 15.3 grains of 2400 to see if they confirm the results of yesterday's range session. Also sized, flared and primed (in other words, prepped) two dozen pieces of .41 Magnum brass to load up a ladder with Unique to see if I can find a good target load. Also put away the box of .41 Magnum brass that came from Starline today.
