I have used 8000 SA primers already mostly in other calibers . I have shot 100 of them in 45 just to see how they perform in 45 I had no FTF’s , no problems seating them , no unburned powder honestly I can’t tell the difference from LP primers in 45 auto. I will be buying more SA primers I really like them you just have to make sure you seat them deep as the anvil seems to be pre loaded . They are also hot enough to completely burn H110/W296 in 357 magnum as soon as I run out of SPM primers I will just use SA primers in 357.Let us know how the SyA primers work.
500gr…Define "heavy grain".
I have a bit of load data for .45/70 for 500gr and up. What powders do you have on hand and what grain bullets are you looking to load?

Unique and IMR 4227…
Gonna be run suppressed…
Lol …. ^^^ This gfi brass and geco off center flash holes. BANNISHED! ….. be gonePhew. Got it done picked out all my once fired .357 cases from this bucket. I’ve got some nice brass in there! A BUNCH of once fired starline brass. Like enough I could throw out all the geco and ammo inc cases and still be set. The .357’s are hornady, blazer and Winchester Tomorrow I’m going to get all the starline out of the bucketView attachment 1201745
Every one has their brass favorites, in 38/357 agilla is the worst. I don't load it. Being honest I scrap it in every case I find, 308 included...Phew. Transferred the last pound from an 8 lb'r of 2400.
I bought a single 8# of IMR 4895 from PV in early 2016. ~$174 incl Frt & HM., as part of a larger order.I remember buying 4 8# jugs of IMR4895 back when I got my M1a. I would have to look, but it was probably for something paltry like $600.
So, $600 for a 4-jug case would have been about right for that time period.
Tell me about your bench primer.

I'm running a press mounted RCBS primer and it's definitely not "all that". That one looks hell-for-stout
So that uses the standard RCBS S/L primer feed tubes then?RCBS Bench Primer Handle
Has anyone added a roller handle to one and/or bent the handle up a little? I have the Inline Fabrication Ergo Roller handles on all my presses and really like em. After priming 500 cases yesterday it got me to thinking about it for the bench primer. Dan at Inline said he could add a roller to...www.thehighroad.org
I had only seen the Dillon so it's nice to see other options coming. When is the optional triway cutter comingYa. But, I like doing my rifle stuff single stage at this point. Will that change? Dunno. lol. I’m thinking about setting up a mark seven style trimmer(can’t remember the name… trim express maybe?) on with another single stage I have laying around, or putting it on my progressive at times.
For now, I’m starting on the progressive with my “volume” cartridge; 9mm predictably. Probably expand/prime,drop,cop,seat,crimp… a PTX die is in the future. But one must save pennies to make dollars.
ETA: I went and looked it up. I like this one: https://www.lymanproducts.com/power-trim-xpress
I'll just say it's the nicest primer I never knew I wanted or needed. Got dad's with the rest of his stuff, and it's the bees knees for 45c and 223 which are a ptia in a universal hand primer....Tell me about your bench primer.
