I am loading up some APS strips for some upcoming sessions. Both large and small pistol primers. Finally after all these yrs can get the process to go smooth without alot of issues

All I got accomplished today was putting my supply of new primers away in rotation.

More stuff on order from Midway. I think I must be on their frequent flyer plan.
I popped these out in a few minutes. Powder measure was settling in much better.
Swung by Menards and grabbed an extra “hopper” for finished products. $1.98 there.
Then I “Mickey Moused” a brace for the front “bullnose” on the bench. There’s going to be another leg close to theresoon. It just flexes a bit.
I’ll let the glue set before I do more down there.

I love wood glue and tightbond gets it done, but the paint is jamming you up...

Just because it cost more doesn't make it better in your situation. If cleaning saves you a hundred dollars you might be able to save up for a pound of powder....

Yup. No argument. lol. It’s actually a gorilla product that will bond to paint, though it’s only just so good. I’m considering tearing the bench apart and making some modifications. So it’s kinda “temporary”.I love wood glue and tightbond gets it done, but the paint is jamming you up...

This morning I went through my brass stash and drug out 500 new Starline 223 cases that I resized. (I always run new brass through the resizing die) This afternoon or tomorrow I'll trim them all to the same length and start working on the primer pockets and flash holes. This is for a May Prairie Dog Hunt!
I have lots of 223/5.56 range brass but I don't want to have a case separation or other problem when I'm 700 miles from home!

Spent two days sizing and checking my batch of noe-269-163-rnfp. It was fun, a learning experience and slooow.
Fiddled with the 100 “trial run” loads in the progressive. I had about 10 that it seems I didn’t size quite right, can pull the bullet out with my fingers. Has a ring like the crimp “bit” like it should, but still loose. I’m pulling them and will try to resize.

It’s actually very handy, I size and bell cases in the recliner with it. It’s easy to work the action. You get a real feel for what’s happening. The final steps go on the Lyman bench press

Someone suggested this press to me and said they’ve got a whole kit setup in a tackle box. Would be perfect to work loads up at the range
