Colt 1911
1. Colt 1911 WWI reproduction, .45 ACP, 3 shots, weight estimated (200+ish).
2. T/C Encore pistol, .444 Marlin, 1 shot, per weigh scale 224 Lbs.
3. T/C Encore pistol, .45-70 Gov't, 1 shot, per weigh scale 290 Lbs.
4. Wea. Mark V rifle, .270 Win, 1 shot, weight estimated (200ish).
5. Sig Sauer 202 Safari rifle, .375 H&H, 2 shots, weight per scales 500+ Lbs. Scales maxed at 500. The boar had 6 & 1/4 inch tusks posted below. This pig was one bad @ss. I fired 2 shots through the heart/lungs. It still ran 200 yards up hill, and stood looking at us for 2:37 seconds before it dropped. It lay there trashing for an additional 2 minutes. If I hadn't viewed the video myself, I never would have believed it. I have most of these hunts on video. The cartridge with the tusks is one of the .375 H&H rounds that I used to harvest the 500 Lbs. boar.
