After handling both the Condor (O/U) and Upland (SxS) offered by Stoeger/IGA, I decided that the SxS Upland felt better - more comfortable to hold and shoulder. After visiting the local skeet range I bought the Condor based on lots of advice, and the fact that at least half the shooters used O/U guns and I didn't see one SxS.
After a half dozen skeet sessions I understand their point about the O/U perhaps being quicker to get on target, but one thing has not changed. That is the "fit" and "feel". Something about the O/U makes it feel that I have to adjust my body parts to the gun, but the SxS just drops into place like I have used it my whole life.
I find it strange as both guns have 26" barrels and same LOP, DAC, and DAH.
Should I consider doing an exchange and going with what I feel, or am I too new at this to make a decision? Will a SxS be lousy for skeet?
