What is the better Battle Rifle Caliber?

7mm Mauser or variants of that round would be my vote for a battle rifle round. Plenty of power with low recoil. The 303 British would be the best overall one IMO. The SMLE MkI is already an accurate platform and the 303 has the downrange punch for a DM.

Comments such as the rounds bouncing back and hitting the shooter and calling the current weapon (which is the M4 not M16) crap belies your ignorance of the issue.

The only ignorance is yours, every M16 I shot has jammed and the hundreds and hundreds of Marines and Army personnel I talked to who used the M16/A4 all said the AK was a more reliable rifle and the desert sand constantly caused problems.

So put up or shut up and let go of your arm chair and back up your claims with more than just BS and hot air. And please don't tell me your a retired military armourer and the best thing that ever happened to the U.S military was the M16/A4 piece of garbage.

And if a Marine tells me what happened in combat I wouldn't insult him on his ignorance of the issue when he was wounded in Fallujah and fought from house to house in that bloody type fighting.

My claims are backed up by the hundreds of thousands of men and women who use them every day with no trouble. No question that the M16 had issues when they were introduced. But most of those were maintenance related.

Next thing you will be saying is that they picked up AKs and used those instead.

The current M4 has proven to be every bit as reliable as any other weapon onthe market. Sorry tour obvious personal bias can't see that.

Nope but how about I point you to a couple of the active duty armorers over at M4C.net who don't see any of the issues you claim.
