What is the most recent knife you bought?

Found at an estate sale yesterday.

I've always gotten a kick out of the old English and continental import "Bowies".

Joseph ???? Sheffield England on the tang but can't read the larger lettering on the blade. Is the grip stag? It's a cool knife. Won't be much of a trick to redo the stitching on the sheath. I'd have bought it too.

Joseph Allen & Sons and NON•XLL for; "none excel" which was a trade-marked issue with them. A bunch of English makers had interesting distinguishing trademarks like that. Another I have around her is B4ANY.

I kind of assume that the scales are jigged bone given the source and time period. Still, a nice faux-stag and the thing handles remarkably well.

Ok so not really a KNIFE, but a man cannot live on knives alone.

I had an Amazon giftcard I got for my birthday and decided to blow it on something impractical. We recently did one of those spit-in-a-jar DNA tests. No surprise given my family history that I'm 83% English. I'm also 15% Irish, which I figured. However, it seems my material great grandmother's family came from a place settled by the Norse...well sacked and THEN settled. 2% Swede can't be wrong.

Well it probably is, but it's a good excuse for a non legit viking to buy a non historically accurate axe t ok play with in the backyard.

4' and over 4lbs of dumb fun. It gets here tomorrow:)

Cold Steel 4-Max Scout. Compared to my XL Voyager, that thing is solid. Like a hammer. With a pointy point and a slicey edge.

Todd,

It's a bit small at 2.625 blade length, but I have the larger and they're both in D2. I'm stunned that you can get a Boker USA D2 auto for $43 these days, but then I've spent over a decade fighting to get autos accepted and legal in more states in this country so I shouldn't be surprised that success, state by state, has lead to a drop in prices.

Just picked up this CRKT folder for EDC. Ambidextrous thumb stud, reversible clip, frame lock. The lock takes a little getting used to, but it’s secure. Very thin profile. So far, I’m pretty impressed!

I bought one like that. My daughter came by and took it with her when she left.
