What is the most recent knife you bought?

Nice, thanks for shsaring. I've never seen one like that. Is it made in USA?
Yes it was made in USA not sure when. It was fairly rusty and very dull when I got it. Cleaned it up and was going to give it to my grandson but he already has a throwing boot knife. So I cleaned it up and sharpened it. I even found a sheath for it.

Bought this in the mid to late 90’s. The lock doesn’t engage all the way, the lock bar is silly thin, they put the word “press” on the lock bar because they figured anybody dumb enough to buy this thing couldn’t figure out how to unlock it, the steel is 440a, it doesn’t have a pocket clip, the serrations suck and it’s model name was The Beast. It’s saving grace is that I believe it is made in the USA. I think I was 19 years old and wandering around Walmart drunk. I can’t believe I still have it. I actually keep it on top of my gun safe as a reminder of my youth.View attachment 1192925

Mine had an “Indian tan” leather quirt I braided through the lanyard hole, I carried it for several years of farm use. That is, until I took a train across Philly to visit the Liberty Bell, and upon arrival realized that getting into the new building was more difficult than getting onto a plane, and had no choice but to discard the knife - I sold it to a street vendor down the block for $20.

My latest was another Benchmade Pardue 530 just a couple weeks ago, and my son just picked up a Kershaw Shuffle DIY for himself in January too.

This one is getting a refurbish. Cattaraugus 225Q

Nice.

I redid an old VOOS brand German hunting knife for a friend a little while back. Wood and leather washers alternated.

The fruits of my most recent buying spree. Tax returns and all, haha. Top to bottom: Kershaw Iridium in D2, Kershaw Bel Air in Magnacut, and Kizer Banish in 154CM (this one is so I have a Chicago legal knife when I have to venture that way).

I also have a Boker Kaizen in S35VN on the way that has been bouncing around the USPS system for about 2 weeks.

My newest batch arrived yesterday. From left to right: Kershaw Shuffle II, Firebird GANZO F7601, S&W Extreme Ops (smaller than my primary, I added the skateboard tape) and a really budget Grand Way. It's well made but the aluminum scales are slick so it will most likely get skateboard tape also. I sanded it last night with som 80 grit and I many not need to use the skateboard tape after all. After playing with them for the last day my favorite is the $10 budget Grand Way. It's built like a freakin' tank....... However my new EDC is the Firebird, bluish looking one and that little Shuffle II is cool also maybe as a backup.

Highly recommend the 2" blade Caston Shamshir auto from Boker.

I picked up a green G10 from BladeOps for $53 to try the interesting little auto out. WOW, I'm very glad I did!

I've carried it for 4 days now and my only wish is for a pocket clip so I could use it for a money clip. I know why there's no clip, FLAT, but a fella could wish for the option.

That's one I haven't seen before. Pretty nifty.

I love Bokers, my once complaint so far is my Kalashnikovs both came pretty dull, but they sharpened up easy enough. The Kaizen I just got, woof. May be the sharpest knive I've ever gotten from the factory.

Got these three knives recently. The top is a Kershaw KS8710. I am not a big Kershaw fan. Mostly cosmetics. Yes it opens bottles. Was handy on my recent trip to Germany. Who names a knife a KS8710? I purchased it to Open beers. It works.

The second one arrived yesterday. Same day I got back from Germany, it was like it knew my schedule. Not sure I like it yet. Sharp, did I say it was sharp? Understatement. It’s a QSP Knives Eagle Karambit. Opens easy. Wider than I thought. Bigger than I thought. Nice box.

The third one is a replacement. I was in Hawaii a few weeks ago on a work emergency trip. I gave one like it to a guy I worked with at the work site who was so accommodating and friendly. It was the knife I took on the trip. Got back and had that feeling like I lost my best friend. Easily solved. It’s a MKM FOX Knives Jesper Voxnaes Isonzo Flipper Knife 2.25" N690 Stonewashed Hawkbill. That’s how you name a knife. I have all three blade styles. I like the Hawk Bill the best.

I really wish the serrated version of the Isonzo was still available

In exchange for re-handling some knives this Henckels 8" chef knife. Made some mods to the blade profile and removed the long bolster, before and after. Going to reduce the handle as it is a bit biggish for our smaller hands. The balance was already decent so taking that bit off the front brought the weight a bit back which is more comfortable for our prep uses. I may reduce the heel of the blade a touch to see how it rocks on those types of cuts.
