Ruger P345 with 230 gr Federal HP Hi Shock on my side of the bed an a S&W 686 loaded with 125 g Cor-Bon's on my wife's side of the bed.

Voted semi auto pistol, but really is a tossup, have a pistol cal carbine, 12ga mossberg shotty, and the 9mm Taurus PT92 all within reach.

Have to admit I was surprised. I figured semis would be the most popular, but not nearly by that much. Also thought more rifles would be picked, but I guess most folks pick up a handgun so they can get to the rifle if needed.

Thanks for the input, Griz

In the night stand is my glock 17, leaning against the othersid of my nightstand is my 1300 defender loaded with 00 buck.

4" Ruger GP100 with Speer Gold Dots. I'm looking into getting a semi-auto to accompany it...probably a Sig P229 with a rail for an easily accessible light.

My side of the bed has a Smith and wesson mod.19 357 mag with a 2 inch barrel, good for short range defense, and a RRA AR 15 in the corner, on the wifes side she has a Beretta 84 and a sks with a 30 round clip!!!!!!!!!!

On my nightstand is a Kimber .45 loaded with Hornady TAP with 2 extra mags, about 12 feet away is an AR-10 loaded up with Hornady TAP along with 4 extra mags.

Glock 19 w/Glock Light, Ruger Security Six. Those will get me to the Remington 1100 w/00 Tactical Buck, and an AR15A2. Otherwise, I have to open the safe.

Other.

Depends, usually Colt Ltwt Cmdr w/night sights, Surefire 6P, CRKT M16 Titanium. Other stuff a step away, plus Buzzsaw & Kong, watchcats.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

Under the bed lurks a 6920, equiped with an Aimpoint, and Surefire. If things go bump in the night 30 rounds of 75gr Black Hills bumps back. I have a large dog, alarm, and sleep upstairs. No uglies will make it upstairs to my family in the wee hours of the morning.

I have to confess something, M2 Carbine. I'm disappointed you didn't post a pair of PLR-16s to be used all at the same time all John Woo style. :(

Well, truthfully the two PLR's aren't far away.:D

I'll sleep well knowing that. :) And I'm glad you got my meaning despite the missing word. When I end up buying one, I am blaming it on you.
