What is your everyday carry set-up?

kwhi43, congratulations on the most interesting reply to this post thus far, IMHO! :) Looks like a PS6-SA. Sweet.

My chief wants me to tote a an autoloader or DA sixgun as long as I wear his badge, on or off the clock. My usual carry guns are several SIG P229 pistols, the same ones I use at work, which I do own; they are not the PD's guns. Most likely to be with me is a plain P229R DAK, or a P229 SAS. My typical holster is a Bulman FDS. Let's NOT forget the all-important belt! I will typically use a black Kramer belt, or a tan Milt Sparks belt.

Not only am I not good at translating photos to computers, I am not nearly the photographer as the ones who typically take photos for the websites belonging to SIG, Josh Bulman, Kramer, and Milt Sparks.

Colt Detective

I have been carrying it for about 25 years now in the pant holster and feel very secure with it.

When attire permits I carry my Kimber SS Ultra II in either a CompTac Infidel IWB or a Galco tuckable IWB. When attire does not permit I have a KelTec P3AT in a home made pocket holster. I also always have my Kershaw Whirlwind.

I'll try to update my photos and post them with an edit soon.

One of the following combos

Glock 26

Glock 26 w/Glock 19 magazine and A&G gip spacer
010-1.gif

Ruger SP101 .357
014-1.gif

S&W 642 Powerport

The primary weapons all get carried IWB in Bianch Professional 100 holsters and the LCP rides in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. The only other things that I carry are a wallet and car keys.

I can't do picture now but my carry group is a dehorned Kel Tec P-11 with accessory spring clip. Summer or winter I carry it tucked under pants/belt in middrift area. Even with shorts and T-shirt nothing shows. Generally spare mag in pocket, Kershaw Leek cliped to left front pocket, Kubiton with keys right pocket, cell phone on belt, carry permit in wallet.
I only carry one type firearm and I shoot carry ammo and replace with fresh each month
The best money I ever spent was at Gun Sight when Jeff Cooper was there, In alife or death situation you need to know the one you carry better than anything else or muscle memory won't work. Don't carry anything thats not 100% dependable and don't base your carry gun on a magazine article.

I can't do pictures but, here we go. Every day all day. G26 or One of Four Snub 357s strong side. S&W 442 week side front pocket. Extra Ammo for each. A Benchmade Lock blade Knife, Streamlight Scorpion Flashlight with extra batteries, Cell phone, wallet, and sometimes Pepper Spray. I've done this in Dress Clothes to Shorts and a T-Shirt.

usually a S+W 342 in my pocket or one of these in a cheap Uncle Mike's IWB. Always a knife in my pocket.

although, here = relatively safe, I'm sure I don't have to point out this notion...

Just my reasoning: "Are you an Officer? - I don't have a gun"

With exception of educational purposes, helping a novice. I never divulge what I'm carrying, or where, and how I'm carrying it.
I'm sure this is common place with the rest of your 'Gents in relation to the public, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Jim PHL - are you LEO? i only ask because of the leather sap, and those S&Ws look like duty pistols.

Bliggida - i'm not sure what you're asking, or saying.

Jahwarrior, I apologize - after re-reading I did see how it would be hard to follow.

The thread is about what we carry everyday. And the only two people who need to know if I'm carrying are myself, and the Officer I encounter (if they ask me a direct question).

I meant to point out that, showing what we carry here at The High Road is a relatively safe environment, but I think it goes without saying that the general public shouldn't be involved with what we're carrying, where, and how.

With few exceptions, I personally don't tell anyone, anything about my setup. Unless it goes to further the safe and comfortable carry on a beginner who may not know how to fit themselves properly.

Sorry if I was unclear, I think I was guilty of a no-explanation statement.

Just dropped my permit application off at the Arlington courthouse, and when I get it pack I plan on carrying my Kel-Tec P32

Congratulations Babarsac! Unfortunately, the waiting for the license is the worst part. Hang in there. Start shoppin' for holster designs. (if you don't already have one)

One more reason I love living in New Hampshire...Dropped my pistol permit application off at the town pd on Tuesday, 12/29. Received permit Monday, 1/4. Only reason it took that long was the chief was on vacation last week.

When wearing a coat or jacket I carry the S&W 1958 rev. mod 14 4" in a shoulder holster with a 9mm Compact IWB on the rt. side. In warmer weather I'll stick with the 9mm IWB and sometimes carry the .22 mag 2" 8 shot as a bug. But the 9mm has never jammed so I'm not that concerned with carrying 2 guns. Am considering a Bond Arms Snake Slayer Der. .45/.410 if I can find a used one at a decent price. (not likely)

I'm probably gonna look for a simple IWB holster but I can drop the Kel-Tec in my pocket in a pinch if need be.

Cell phone w/hi res camera, Twitch Locking folder, Leatherman, small Mag Light, P-11, high-cap spare mag, P3AT BUG.

Bliggida - thanks for clearing that up.

i should mention, though, that i usually open carry; the general public doesn't seem to mind too much.
