What is your favorite rifle?

nice what barrel and how you like that jp gas block
Howdy Troy: The JP has been fantastic. Still no problems with setting or mounting screws backing out or tension loss. No build up issues. Very happy with it. IT's taken quiet a few knocks and stood strong. (Old man stumbles in the wood). The Faxon is the 18" heavy contour match series. I use it for GP recreational shooting and hunting. Great weight and service so far. IT is NOT a BR capable barrel but a very very good hunting one.

My 30-06 rolling block that I made myself out of a block of 4140. I made everything but the screws, springs and the barrel. Took me seven years, an hour here and an hour there, after work. Professionally heat treated to RC 40. Proofed with a German 7.62X63 proof round that developed around 80,000 PSI. Rust blued it myself. As an edit two days after the post: The butt stock looks out of proportion because of the camera angle.

Fantastic!

My Winchester Model 70 FTW 264 Win Mag. I own more expensive, I own prettier, I own more powerful. But this would be the last rifle I parted ways with.

Wow thats awesome work, thanks for sharing. That's a beautiful rifle. Did you make the sleeve and bag too?

No, and I barely made the rifle. 😁

It's a Kibler kit that was the easiest thing in the world to put together. I am responsible for applying finish to the wood and metal, and that's it. As for the bag and sock, well, I'm glad to be able to support independent craftsmen.

Cheers from one owner of a pretty rifle to another!
