I’ve owned a Pedersoli Sharps, a Browning made 1885, a Ruger No. 1 and currently have an Encore. I really wish I’d hung unto the 1885 as well. I’ve never tried a rolling block.

As for which is my favorite; I really like the versatility of my Encore but man that 1885 was classy.

I got 2 custom t/c encore actions and 2 many barrels
a Ruger lipsey's edit 45-70
and 2 flint lock rifles 1 pistol a caps lock and an encore inline
they are like children i pick a favorite a sharps and a browning high wall are also nice

Shiloh Sharps "Hartford" in 45-70; a very nice rifle and my favorite SS action (the only SS action that I own).

In order would be the Remington Rolling Block.
Then the Ruger No. 1
And of course the TC/Contender for it's adaptability.

I like the handling of the rifle, simple to operate. Shoots without killing on both ends. No issues with being a heavier than average single shot. I like the fact that I have to be better on that first shot as I might not get another shot opportunity. Great rifle that I practically stole off a friend. He had issues with the thing not hitting primers hard enough. My gunsmith friend said another smith he works with, has experience with revolvers and recognized the transfer bar needed a little grinding down and voila! Shoots every time. My friend said he lost confidence in it and couldn't in good conscience sell it for more than he did to me. I went out and bought him some of his expensive Hornady ammo for his other rifle as a thank you. The last deer rifle I would have if I had to give em all up and only have
