What mods do you do to your Glock?

Well, not surprised, again, that any thread about Glock will include 'and this is why I don't like them' post or many..not seen that a lot with Sig posts..'Just got my Sig 365XL'...hmmmm..

A lot of people suffer from GDS (Glock Derangement Syndrome). Very similar to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). The symptoms and emotional triggers are similar.

What finally convinced me to just drift the sight was talking to LAV aka Larry Vickers and he said in that scenario he advices to drift the sight. This was at a training class with him and Ken Hackathorn. LAV basically said the gun has a driftable dovetail for a reason. I don’t move it much just a tiny bump.;)

Will, I’m certainly not going to argue with Mr. Vickers about anything gun related.

I also am willing to admit that (Strong handed) I tend to push double stack guns.

The interesting thing for me is that after I move the sights, they are correct both right and left-handed. Not sure why, but I’m OK with it.

It amuses me that many of the people who are such fans of Glock “perfection” are the same people who buy one and then replace almost every part.

For what it’s worth, I change things on pretty much every gun that I like well enough to keep.

I think I own one stock gun. A 4" S&W 629. I just can’t think of anything I want to change. But if I do, I’ll change whatever it is.

Still box stock after all these years. Even has the original adjustable rear sight on it along with the fixed rear sight they included with the gun.

My first 17 was just like that, and with that same rear sight.

I clipped it on a door jamb while it was in my holster as I was going through it and snapped that adjustable part right off.

What was left in the dovetail actually still worked fine as a rear sight, until the fixed rear replacement showed up. :)

I haven’t carried a Glock (other than a G20 in the woods) since the turn of the century, but when I did the only modification was the addition of night sights and a finger rest on the magazine floorplate of the subcompact model.

I have my reasons for not liking Glocks as carry guns, but reliability isn’t one of them. A box-stock Glock is about as reliable as a handgun can be. Adding aftermarket parts is likely to only make that worse.

One of the fun things about a Glock is the ability to customize it pretty much any way you want it. Or not. It's up to you

It’s not Glocks specifically, it’s striker fired guns with light pulls and a trigger dingus. I feel the same way about the P320 or XD.

The 10/22 is the same way, but few people will die if they compromise the function of their 22 plinker. People do all sorts of crazy stuff to their Glocks and then are surprised when they start acting funky.

Steel sights or Nite-Sites.
Polish key points to give a smoother trigger pull.
I prefer the extended slide stop/release.
On the mini Glocks 26/27 I run Pearce mag base plate finger extensions.
On my Glock 20SF I use a Pearce grip frame insert with a sling stud screwed in, to attach a lanyard to my chest holster. In case brownie gets hold of me or my pack and starts thrashing me.

And while I"m sure that's a true and a legitimate opinion, it's also not particularly useful to inject into a thread about Glock modifications. <sigh>
